MAROS, PEMPROV SULSEL – Sekretaris Daerah Provinsi Sulsel, Abdul Hayat Gani, bertindak sebagai Inspektur Upacara (Irup) dalam peringatan Hari Relawan. Upacara volunteer camp Palang Merah Indonesia (PMI) ini dilangsungkan di Lapangan Sepakbola Puca’ Kabupaten Maros, Jumat, 21 Januari 2022. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan hingga 23 Januari 2022.

Abdul Hayat yang membacakan sambutan Gubernur Sulsel di upacara Peringatan Hari Relawan PMI, mengatakan, Pemerintah Provinsi Sulsel, menyampaikan terimakasih dan apresiasi yang setinggi-tingginya atas pelaksanaan kegiatan volunteer camp, yang diadakan pada 21-23 Januari, di Pucak Teaching Farm, Desa Pucak, Kecamatan Tompobulu, kabupaten Maros. Ia berharap, kegiatan ini dapat menjadi ruang silaturahmi bagi seluruh relawan dan keluarga besar PMI, untuk membina keakraban sehingga terbentuk ikatan persaudaraan yang solid dalam menjalankan tugas kemanusiaan.

Hal ini, kata Abdul Hayat, bertujuan untuk memberikan perlindungan dan keselamatan berdasarkan prinsip-prinsip dasar gerakan Palang Merah dan Bulan Sabit Internasional yakni, Kemanusiaan, Kesamaan, Kenetralan, Kemandirian, Kesukarelaan, Kesatuan, dan Kesemestaan.

“Bersama Pemprov Sulsel, PMI bersinergi, berkolaborasi dan bekerjasama, bahu membahu untuk melaksanakan kegiatan kepalangmerahan guna pengurangan risiko bencana dan adaptasi perubahan iklim, pertolongan pertama dan layanan ambulans,” kata Abdul Hayat.

Menurut Abdul Hayat, PMI sebagai organisasi non pemerintah yang memiliki visi dan misi kemanusiaan yang sangat mulia, tumbuh dan berkembang dalam rangka melakukan percepatan bantuan pertolongan secara medis kepada masyarakat.

“Saya juga berpesan kepada anak-anak kita di Palang Merah Remaja (PMR), keterlibatan ini dikhususkan untuk generasi muda yang mempersiapkan diri secara kuat mengisi mental mereka di dalam bersama-sama pemerintah untuk memberikan karya bakti kepada bangsa dan negara ini,” imbuhnya.

Di tempat yang sama, Bupati Maros, Andi Syafril Chaidir Syam, menyampaikan terima kasih kepada PMI Sulsel yang menunjuk Kabupaten Maros sebagai tuan rumah Volunteer Camp.
