BOGOR – Kementerian Dalam Negeri (Kemendagri) melalui Direktorat Politik Dalam Negeri menggelar Dialog Politik dengan tema Implementasi Undang-Undang No 7 tahun 2017 tentang Pemilihan Umum di Hotel Pramesti.

Dialog politik bagi masyarakat Kabupaten Bogor dan kota Bogor, Rabu (29/11) ini diharapkan mampu menumbuhkan kesadaran akan hak dan kewajiban sebagai warga negara untuk mengunakan hak pilihnya dalam kehidupan berbangsa dan bernegara.

“Saya menilai bahwa topik dialog politik ini sangat strategis untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada masyarakat terutama bagi pemilih muda untuk meningkatkan wawasan, kemampuan, kemandirian serta kedewasaan dalam upaya meningkatkan partisipasi politik guna mensukseskan agenda demokrasi di Indonesia, khususnya menghadapi pilkada serentak kabupaten Bogor dan kota Bogor serta pemilu serentak tahun 2019,” kata Direktur Politik Dalam Negeri, DR. Bahtiar di Bogor, Rabu (29/11/2017).

Dia menambahkan, demokrasi memberi ruang kepada rakyatnya untuk memberikan suara dan mengungkapkan kepentingan masing-masing, namun jangan sampai melanggar hak asasi dan kepentingan orang lain.

“Kehadiran partai politik penting dalam upaya membangun kehidupan demokratis di Indonesia dan hadirnya partai politik sebagai manifestasi dari suatu sistem politik yang mewakili aspirasi rakyat,” jelasnya.

Lanjut Bahtiar, demokrasi menjadi indikator dalam perkembangan politik suatu negara. Suatu negara memilih demokrasi karena sistem ini diyakini akan meningkatkan kebebasan berpolitik melalui kesadaran untuk melaksanakan penyelenggaraan pergantian pimpinan.

“Tanpa menggunakan kekerasan, menghargai adanya keanekaragaman dan hak asasi manusia yang akan berdampak pada meningkatnya kesejahteraan masyarakat melalui rasa aman, tentram dan damai,” paparnya.

Selanjutnya Cahyo Ariawan, Kasubdit Pendidikan Politik pada acara yang sama menyampaikan bahwa perlunya pemahaman dan pendalaman terkait undang-undang no 7 tahun 2017 tentang pemilu. Kegiatan pendidikan politik sebagai amanat Pasal 434 bahwa pemerintah dan pemerintah daerah wajib memberikan bantuan dan fasilitasi yang salah satunya berupa pendidikan politik bagi pemilih. (Zul)
