BOGOR – Pemilihan Kepala Daerah (Pilkada) pada tahun 2018 dan Pemilihan Anggota Legislatif, Pemilihan Presiden dan Wakil Presiden pada tahun 2019 merupakan pesta demokrasi berturut-turut yang akan dijalankan rakyat Indonesia.
Guna menjaga kualitas pemilu, Kemendagri melalui Direktorat Politik Dalam Negeri Ditjen Politik dan Pemerintahan Umum melakukan kegiatan Pendidikan Politik yang diadakan di Hotel Permesti, Bogor, Sabtu (2/12/2017).
Menurut Direktur Politik Dalam Negeri, DR. Bahtiar, M.Si kegiatan Pendidikan Politik ini dimaksudkan untuk mensosialisasikan tentang hak dan kewajiban politik rakyat dalam mengikuti Pemilukada dan Pemilu Serentak 2019.
Dengan mengetahui hak dan kewajiban ini diharapkan masyarakat akan bisa berpartisipasi secara sadar, memilihi sesuai keyakinannnya dan ikut mengawasi secara aktif jalannya pesta demokrasi.
“Kami ingin, meski beda pilihan politik, kita tidak boleh terpecah-pecah dalam perbedaan pilihan. Kita harus menjaga persatuan dan kesatuan,” pintanya.
Memilih pemimpin, kata Bahtiar berarti ada mempercayakan harapan anda kepada pemimpin. Karena itu, pilihlah pemimpin yang jujur dan memiliki integritas dan trake record yang baik di masyarakat.
“Jangan pilih pemimpin yang korup karena akan merugikan bangsa dan negara,” paparnya.
Sementara itu, Kasubdit Pendidikan Etika dan Politik Dirpoldagri, Cahyo Ariawan menambahkan, guna mensukseskan Pemilihan Kepala Daerah (Pilkada) serentak pada 2018 dan pemilihan presiden pada 2019, Kementerian Dalam Negeri terus aktif sosialisasi terkait UU Pemilu Nomor 7 Tahun 2017.

Kegiatan Pendidikan Politik inni dimoderatori oleh Kasubdit Fasilitasi Partai Politik, Syamsuddin dan dihadiri 150 peserta terdiri dari masyarakat umum, pemilih awal dari Ikatan Pelajar Nahdlatul Ulama (IPNU), LSM, dan Tokoh Agama
Menurut Cahyo, UU Nomor 7 ini merupakan penyederhanaan dan penggabungan dari 3 (tiga) buah undang-undang sebelumnya, yakni Undang-Undang Nomor 42 Tahun 2008 tentang Pemilihan Umum Presiden dan Wakil Presiden, Undang-Undang Nomor 15 Tahun 2011 tentang Penyelenggara Pemilihan Umum, dan Undang-Undang Nomor 8 Tahun 2012 tentang Pemilihan Umum Anggota Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat, Dewan Perwakilan Daerah, dan Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat Daerah.
“Kita ingin seluruh komponen masyarakat dari Sabang-Merauke memahami aturan main terkait penyelenggaraan pemilu. Dengan memahami UU Nomor 7 ini diharapkan pemilu akan berjalan dengan prinsip jujur, adil (jurdil) dan aman dan damai di Indonesia.
Terkait pelaksanaan Pemilu 2019 mendatang, Pileg dan Pilpres akan dilaksanakan serentak pada hari dan jam yang sama. Pemerintah telah menetapkan tanggal pelaksanaannya itu pada hari Rabu 17 April 2019.
“Jadi Pemilu Serentak pada 2019, masyarakat hanya cukup 1 kali datang ke Tempat Pemungutan Suara (TPS) untuk memilih 4 pemimpin yaitu Presiden, DPR RI, DPRD dan DPD bila di Jakarta, Sementara di daerah, itu ada 5 pilihan yaitu memilih Presiden, DPR RI, DPRD Tingkat I dan DPRD Tingkat II dan DPD,” terang Cahyo.
Dia menambahkan, UU ini prinsipnya menjadi acuan utama penyelenggara dan pengawas pemilu, termasuk DKPP (Dewan Kehormatan Penyelenggaraan Pemilu) dalam menyusun aturan.
Dengan adanya UU ini, Kemendagri menilai pelaksanaan Pemilu Serentak 2019 memiliki landasan hukum sah sekaligus pendoman seluruh pihak dalam upaya menyukseskan pemilu nanti.
“Kami akan terus memberikan dukungan kepada pihak KPU, Bawaslu dan DKPP agar semua tahapan pemilu berjalan lancar.
