Tak hanya para free styler yang mempertontonkan kebolehannya dalam beratraksi, kesempatan tersebut juga dimanfaatkan oleh anggota komunitas pemotor dengan menunjukkan bagaimana langkah aman berkendara dengan tema “Safety Riding”.

Bukan tanpa alasan, aksi mereka kali ini tak lain merupakan salah satu upaya kepolisian dalam mengajak masyarakat untuk lebih mentaati tata tertib selama berkendara sekaligus memperingati HUT Satuan Lalu Lintas Bhayangkara ke 62 tahun 2017 Polres Temanggung, Sabtu (23/9) pagi.

Kasat Lantas Polres Temanggung, AKP Sandhi Wiedyanoe mengungkapkan, untuk tahun ini, jajarannya tengah memfokuskan diri pada upaya-upaya mendekatkan diri kepada seluruh komponen atau elemen masyarakat.

“Hal ini ditempuh guna semakin mempermudah langkah pengenalan tentang bagaimana saja cara berkendara yang aman termasuk kelengkapan yang wajib digunakan oleh setiap pengendara,” jelasnya.

Lebih spesifik, Sandhi mengatakan bahwa tak hanya pengendara di usia matang, Sat Lantas juga tengah gencar mengajak budaya tata tertib berlalu lintas di kalangan usia anak hingga remaja yang notabene masih berstatus pelajar. Salah satunya dengan memberikan materi pelajaran berlalu lintas secara kontinya, baik ke tingkat SD hingga SMA.

Pihaknya mengklaim, anak hingga remaja wajib menjadi fokus perhatian karena sejauh ini banyak kalangan tersebut yang menjadi korban kecelakaan lalu lintas yang mayoritas disebabkan oleh faktor SDM, dalam hal ini pelanggaran rambu lalu lintas.

“Bulan ini saja (September 2017), kami mencatat telah terjadi 67 kasus kecelakaan dimana memunculkan empat orang korban tewas yang semuanya masih berusia produktif,” pungkasnya. (van)
