Budi Waseso Berharap Penggantinya Bisa dari TNI

KESBANG.COM, MAKASSAR – Kepala Badan Narkotika Nasional (BNN) Komisaris Jenderal Budi Waseso berharap lembaga yang dipimpinnya itu bisa tampil lebih “garang” di masa depan dengan sosok penggantinya dari institusi TNI.

“Di masa saya sekarang ini, saya sudah membawa dua perwira aktif TNI menjadi bagian dari BNN. Keduanya menjadi Kepala BNK dan di masa mendatang, kalau bisa berharap pengganti saya juga harus dari TNI,” ujar Budi Waseso, di Lapangan Karebosi Makassar, Senin.

Ia mengatakan, alasan dirinya memasukkan TNI ke BNN itu tidak lain karena bahaya gempuran narkoba yang mengancam bangsa ini.

Waseso mengaku, penanganan narkoba itu bukan saja menjadi tanggung jawab polisi maupun BNN melainkan semua lapisan masyarakat termasuk TNI.

“Begini, kita tahu bersama tugas TNI itu apa. Mereka ini tugasnya adalah berperang dan bapak presiden sendiri sudah bilang kalau Indonesia ini sudah darurat narkoba. Nah, kalau begitu halnya berarti TNI bisa terlibat langsung memerangi para bandar-bandar besar,” katanya lagi.

Hanya saja, dirinya mengakui jika pelibatan TNI dalam memerangi dan memberantas narkoba itu sangat rentan dengan kemungkinan akan adanya serangan balik dari sisi hak asasi manusia (HAM).

“Contoh, saat kita mencoba menghukum mati bandar besar di Indonesia Fredy Budiman itu, lihat saja reaksi dari aktivis-aktivis HAM itu. Freddy ini juga sampai mati tidak menyesal melakukan itu dan merusak generasi muda bangsa ini. Makanya, pelibatan TNI ini sangat rentan, tapi kita tetap berusaha melindunginya dengan payung hukum yakni dengan melibatkannya ke dalam BNN,” katanya pula.

Di hadapan para Panglima Komando Utama (Pangkotama) itu, Budi Waseso juga menyampaikan pujian kepada Panglima TNI Gatot Nurmantyo yang begitu tegas dengan permasalahan narkoba dihadapi bangsa ini dan mendukung penuh upaya BNN.

Karenanya, dengan pelibatan TNI ke dalam institusi BNN itu, dirinya berharap bangsa ini bisa terbebas dari jeratan narkoba dengan semakin kencang peran dari TNI memburu para bandar narkoba tersebut.

“Urusan hukum biarlah menjadi urusannya polisi, BNN, kejaksaan dan pengadilan. Teman-teman TNI fokus saja pada perang dan eksekusi saja para perusak bangsa ini karena para bandar adalah pengkhianat bangsa. Saya punya daftarnya dan kejar saja mereka semua itu sampai dapat,” kata Budi Waseso pula. (Ant/ Foto: Ist)
