Terlebih, saat ini bangsa Indonesia tengah menapakan kaki pada fase bonus demografi, dimana komposisi penduduk didominasi oleh kelompok usia produktif, yang mayoritasnya adalah
generasi muda. Di samping itu, generasi muda dipandang memiliki literasi digital yang cukup memadai untuk dapat menyesuaikan diri dengan fenomena ekonomi digital yang saat ini tengah berkembang pesat.
“Karenanya, saya sangat mengaparesiasi penyelenggaraan acara ‘Market Day: Enterpenur Challenge Day 2022’ yang diadakan oleh SMA Labschool. Melalui kegiatan Market Day ini, para pelajar ditantang untuk menuangkan ide dan gagasan hingga melahirkan sebuah brand, membangun sinergi dan kolaborasi dalam sebuah tim kerja, mengatur strategi bisnis yang memiliki daya saing, serta melatih kompetensi diri dalam mengatasi berbagai tantangan bisnis,” ujar Bamsoet saat membuka ‘Market Day: Enterpenur Challenge Day 2022” SMA Labschool Jakarta, di Jakarta, Jumat (13/1/23).
Hadir antara lain Menteri Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif Sandiaga Uno, Rektor Universitas Negeri Jakarta Komarudin, Kepala SMA Labschool Jakarta Suparno, Wakil Kepala Sekolah Rinawati, Marsono dan Agus Munandar, Ketua Panitia Entrepeneur Challenge Day 2022 Elly Hastuti, serta Ketua Pelaksana Entrepeneur Challenge Day 2022 Omar Muhammad Athalla.
Ketua DPR RI ke-20 dan mantan Ketua Komisi III DPR RI bidang Hukum, HAM, dan Keamanan ini menjelaskan, di banyak negara maju, keberadaan entrepeneur yang tangguh telah menjadi landasan dalam membangun perekonomian negara, dengan rasio kewirausahaan mencapai 12 persen hingga 14 persen. Kewirausahaan menawarkan potensi untuk meningkatkan pembangunan ekonomi, mengentaskan kemiskinan, dan mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi dengan terciptanya lapangan pekerjaan.
“Sebagai perbandingan, rasio kewirausahaan di Indonesia baru mencapai 3,18 persen. Angka ini bahkan lebih rendah jika dibandingkan Malaysia 4,74 persen, Thailand 4,26 persen, dan Singapura 8,76 persen. Artinya, untuk melangkah menuju negara maju, kita harus terlebih dahulu menyelesaikan persoalan ketimpangan rasio kewirausahaan tersebut,” kata Bamsoet.
Wakil Ketua Umum Pemuda Pancasila dan Kepala Badan Hubungan Penegakan Hukum, Pertahanan dan Keamanan KADIN Indonesia ini menerangkan, hingga saat ini masih ada asumsi dan mindset yang keliru, bahwa tingkat kesuksesan generasi muda semata-mata diukur dari keberhasilan mendapatkan pekerjaan usai menamatkan pendidikan. Padahal ketersediaan lapangan pekerjaan cenderung stagnan atau bahkan berkurang, tidak sebanding dengan jumlah angkatan kerja yang terus bertumbuh menurut deret ukur.
Sementara, masih ada begitu banyak peluang kewirausahaan yang dapat dimanfaatkan oleh generasi muda. Karena pada prinsipnya, kewirausahaan adalah proses transformasi ide dan gagasan, menjadi apa pun yang dapat dikerjakan, dapat dijual, dan memberikan manfaat bagi masyarakat banyak.
“Sudah saatnya kita mengubah paradigma dan cara pandang yang keliru tersebut. Dunia pendidikan harus mampu memotivasi generasi muda untuk menciptakan lapangan pekerjaan dan bukan mencari pekerjaan.
