KESBANG.COM, PONTIANAK – Kementrian Dalam Negeri menggelar Pendidikan Etika Politik dan Budaya Politik bagi Pemilih Muda di Kalimantan Barat. Kegiatan ini diadakan guna memperkuat peran masyarakat dalam mendukung Pilkada Serantak Tahun 2018 dan Pemilu Serentak 2019.

“Pendidkan politk bagi pemilih muda memiliki peran penting sebagai bagian dalam memperkuat konsolidasi demokrasi Indonesia,” ujar Sekretaris Ditjen Politik dan Pemerintahan Umum Kemendagri, Didi Sudiana, SE, MM mewakili Ditjen Politik dan Pemerintahan Umum Kemendagri dalam arahannya dihadapan peserta di Kalbar, Selasa (24/10/2017).

Kegiatan pendidikan politik yang diselenggarakan di Hotel 95 Kota Pontianak Kalimantan Barat ini dihadiri sekitar 150 orang peserta yang terdiri dari mahasiswa dan siswa sekolah serta organisasi kepemudaan.

Undang-Undang No. 23 Tahun 2014 Tentang Pemerintah Daerah memandatkan kepada Kemendagri dan menindaklanjuti dengan Peraturan Menteri Dalam Negeri Nomor 36 Tahun 2010 untuk melakukan pendidikan politik. Atas dasar itu, Kemendagri menyelenggarakan kegiatan pendidikan etika dan budaya politik dengan tema “Pendidikan Etika dan Budaya Politik Dalam Rangka Mendukung Agenda Demokrasi Pemilu Serentak 2019” di Kota Pontianak.

Didi Sudiana, mengatakan bahwa Pendidikan politik bagi pemilih pemula sangat penting diadakan karena pemilih pemula yang baru memasuki usia hak pilih tentunya belum memiliki jangkauan politik yang luas untuk menentukan ke mana suara mereka akan dijatuhkan.

Pentingnya pendidikan politik pemula sebagai upaya membangun kesadaran berpolitik dan memberikan pengetahuan yang memadai sehingga mereka dapat berpikir secara rasional dalam pengambilan keputusan dan penggunaan hak politik secara sadar dan rasional.

Terkait dengan hal tersebut, Didi Sudiana menambahkan pada 2018 Provinsi Kalimantan Barat menyelenggarakan pilkada serentak yaitu 1 Pemilihan Calon Gubernur dan Wakil Gubernur dan 5 Pemilihan Calon Bupati dan Wakil Bupati serta Pemilihan Calon Walikota dan Wakil Walikota.

“Ini momentum penting bagi pemilih muda semua yang ada di sini untuk mengenal para calon pemimpin yang tidak hanya memiliki kapasitas dan integritas sebagai tokoh tapi juga memiliki visi dan misi dalam memajukan pembangunan nasional,” pungkasnya.  (Zulfikri)
