JAKARTA – Direktur Politik Dalam Negeri (Dirpoldagri) Kemendagri, DR. Bahtiar, M.Si mengatakan Provinsi DKI Jakarta merupakan barometer bagi pendidikan politik tingkat nasional. Jakarta sebagai pusat pemerintahan, pusat informasi teknologi dan pusat bisnis memang menempatkan warganya sebagai warga yang melek informasi.
Karena itu, guna meningkatkan pengetahuan warga Jakarta tentang tahapan pelaksanaan Pemilu Serentak baik Pemilu Legislatif maupun Pemilihan Presiden dan Wakil Presiden pada tahun 2019, Direktorat Politik Dalam Negeri kembai menggelar Dialog Politik bagi Warga Jakarta.
“Kami ingin semua warga DKI paham tentang Pemilu Serentak 2019. Tujuannya agar warga DKI bisa berbagi pengetahuan dari Dialog Politik ini kepada sesama warga,” ujar Bahtiar ketika membuka sekaligus memberikan pengantar Diskusi kepada peserta Dialog Politik di Hotel Losari, Jakarta, Senin (4/12/2017).
Dialog Politik Bertema “Implementasi Undang-Undang Nomor 7 Tahun 2017 Tentang Pemilihan Umum” ini dihadiri 120 peserta dari Perguruan Tinggi, Tokoh Masyarakat, Mahasiswa serta masyarakat umum di Jakarta.
Menurut Bahtiar, pemerintah terus mensosialisasikan Undang-Undang Nomor 7 Tahun 2017 tentang Pemilihan Umum. Pasalnya, dari hasil sebuah lembaga Survey diketahui bahwa dari 2500 responden ternyata yang mengetahui tentang Pemilu Presiden dan Pemilu Legislatif Serentak itu masih 26,4 {45665f7ba399c739ef45db4b0b7facf8fd556e2bf7e2dcb92040db98cbf17eb2} sementara yang belum mengetahui angkanya sebesar 73,2 {45665f7ba399c739ef45db4b0b7facf8fd556e2bf7e2dcb92040db98cbf17eb2}. Karena itu, pemerintah sejak UU Pemilu ini disahkan terus aktif melakukan sosialiasi ke 34 provinsi.
Dia menjelaskan, dengan aktifnya sosialisasi Undang-Undang Nomor 7 Tahun 2017 ini diharapkan akan meningkatkan partisipasi politik warga Jakarta.
“Kegiatan ini merupakan silaturahmi dengan warga Jakarta bertujuan untuk membuka sarana dialog politik antara pemerintah pusat dengan pemerintah daerah dan warganya yang terdiri dari ormas, mahasiswa dan pemilih,” paparnya.
Bahtiar menjelaskan, setelah usai Pemilihan Gubernur DKI, lanjutnya, Warga Jakarta akan kembali mengikuti pemilihan anggota anggota DPR RI, DPRD dan DPD dan Pemilihan Presiden dan Wakil Presiden untuk periode 2019-2024.
“Jadi akan ada 4 kotak yang harus diisi warga Jakarta di tahun 2019,” papar Bahtiar.
Sementara itu, Kasubdit Implementasi Kebijakan Politik, Bangun Sitohang menambahkan Kemendagri terus mendorong warga yang belum memiliki KTP Elektronik (e-KTP) agar segera merekam data KTP lamanya (baca: rekam retina mata) ke kantor kelurahan terdekat agar segera mendapatkan e-KTP.
“Warga yang memiliki e-KTP berhak untuk menggunakan hak pilihnya pada Pemilu Serentak 2019. Karena itu anda harus paham bahwa tanpa e-KTP ini anda bisa kehilangan hak politik untuk memilih nantinya,” papar Bangun.
Kasubdit Pendidikan Etika dan Budaya Politik, Cahyo Ariawan menegaskan, bahwa tujuan sosialisasi ini agar semua masyarakat, kalangan ormas, tokoh masyarakat, tokoh agama, dan mahasiswa lebih memahami isi Undang-Undang No 7 Tahun 2017 yang baru, sehingga dalam Pemilu serentak tahun 2019 nanti berkualitas dan berjalan dengan baik.
“Sosialisasi ini akan terus kita lakukan sehingga semua pihak mengerti dengan UU ini. Selain juga akan melahirkan pemimpin yang baik pula,” katanya.
