DIRJEN HUBDAT MINTA OPERATOR PELABUHAN MELARANG KENDARAAN ODOL MASUK KE KAPAL

JAKARTA (29/12) – Direktur Jenderal Perhubungan Darat, Hendro Sugiatno menegaskan kepada para operator pelabuhan untuk mengutamakan keselamatan saat mengatur muatan kapal. Merujuk pada Peraturan Menteri Perhubungan Nomor 103 Tahun 2017 Tentang Pengaturan dan Pengendalian Kendaraan yang Menggunakan Jasa Angkutan Penyeberangan, Dirjen Hendro meminta operator dan petugas terkait untuk tegas menolak kendaraan yang tidak sesuai ketentuan terlebih jika ada indikasi Over Dimension dan Over Loading (ODOL). Hal tersebut disampaikannya di Kementerian Perhubungan pada Kamis (29/12).

“Dalam PM 103/2017 pasal 2 tertulis bahwa setiap kendaraan beserta muatannya yang akan diangkut menggunakan kapal angkutan penyeberangan wajib diketahui dimensi (tinggi) dan berat kendaraan. Operator pelabuhan penyeberangan juga berhak menolak kendaraan yang tidak menaati ketentuan. Kendaraan yang tidak menaati peraturan dapat dikeluarkan dari lajur antrian pembelian tiket. Oleh karena itu, operator pelabuhan penyeberangan harus menyediakan jalur khusus untuk mengeluarkan kendaraan dari pelabuhan,” kata Dirjen Hendro.

Dirjen Hendro meminta agar operator pelabuhan dapat berkoordinasi dengan pihak kepolisian untuk melakukan penindakan tegas terhadap kendaraan yang ODOL. Ke depannya Hendro juga berharap agar pengaplikasian PM 103/2017 dapat dilakukan menyeluruh dengan menyediakan fasilitas portal dan jembatan timbang di pelabuhan penyeberangan.

“Terlebih dalam kondisi cuaca seperti saat ini, di mana rawan cuaca buruk dengan gelombang tinggi, kondisi kendaraan dengan muatan maupun dimensi berlebih akan sangat berbahaya. Oleh karena itu atas alasan keselamatan pelayaran saya minta operator pelabuhan dan petugas lebih ketat lagi dalam menyortir kendaraan yang akan masuk ke kapal agar tidak ada lagi kecelakaan kapal dan truk terutama dalam situasi cuaca yang kurang bersahabat seperti belakangan ini,” ujar Dirjen Hendro.
