KESBANG.COM, JAKARTA – Akhir-akhir ini kita dihidangkan suguhan berita yang membuat kita selalu berdebat kusir yang tidak berdampak positip bagi kemajuan bangsa. Untuk mengulas tuntas hal itu, tim redaksi kesbang.com meminta pendapat Ketua Lembaga Kajian Nilai Menjadi Orang Indonesia, Bangun Sitohang.
Saat ditanyakan soal silang pendapat tentang pernyataan ES Terkait keyakinan, Bangun Sitohang dengan santainya dan bernas berujar, kita harus gelorakan budaya malu, kalau mau maju bangsa ini.
“Janganlah kita membicarakan hal yang kita tidak kuasai materi pokoknya, jangan kita merasa tau segalanya dan merasa benar di atas semua pihak,” papar Bangun.
Menurut dia, jika hal tersebut keluar dari seorang yang intelektual (red: Doktor), maka secara moral perlu dipertanyakan kadar keilmuannya. Sebab manusia intelek diukur dari “pemikiran cerdasnya” yang membuat inovasi bagi kemajuan sebuah peradaban, bukan asal bicara tanpa pikiran.
Saat ditanya maksud pikiran cerdas tersebut, Bangun Sitohang yang suka membuat analogi pikiran ini memberi contoh, kalau ayam identik dengan suara berkokok, maka jangan pernah kita mengharap keluar suara “mengeong” yang identik suara kucing. Artinya kita harus maklum dan mampu memahami setiap peristiwa dilihat dari kadar intelektualnya dan konsistensi moralnya.
Ditandaskan oleh Bangun Sitohang, urat malu di kita saat ini sudah hampir kabur. Anomali perilaku yang terjadi, banyak pihak tidak malu punya gaya hidup berlebih padahal di sekitarnya masih banyak yang hidup perihatin, ada orang yang kemarin masih jadi narasumber kemudian jadi narapidana, dan masih banyak lainnya.
“Kapasitas moral itu dilihat dari konsistensi ucapan dan perbuatannya dan dibuktikan dengan karya nyata di masyarakatnya,” kata Bangun.
Terkait dengan maraknya kasus korupsi dengan OTT beerapa oknum Kepala Daerah, dijawab Bangun, itulah yang saya maksud tidak sesuai ucapan dan perbuatan, yang salah satunya karena tidak ada budaya malu.
Ditanyakan makna budaya malu, kemudian tim redaksi diberi analog sederhana, coba bayangkan kalau anda punya utang material, pasti anda berusaha terus untuk menutupinya kan, pertanyaan kemudian dari mana menutupinya sementara anda bekerja selama masa jabatan dan gaji anda tidak mampu secara logika hitung-hitungan membayarnya. Karena tidak ada lagi budaya malu, kadang jabatan dijual untuk pekerjaan yang melanggar norma hukum.
Menurut Bangun, inilah yang selalu diduga menghantui perasaan para kepala daerah selama ini. Lebih lugas redaksi diberi gambaran konkret, saat maju pilkada ibarat pertandingan tinju, apakah promotor dibayar petinjunya selama ini? Kan seharusnya promotor yang bayar petinju yang naik ring (calon yang mau maju). Inilah budaya malu yang saya maksud yang pudar. Sehingga hal yang salah dianggap benar dan konyolnya membudaya dalam demokrasi kita. Pola ini yang perlu kita sadari dan perbaiki. Artinya malu lah kita kalau kita beli suara minta dukungan, harusnya kita dipilih karena dicintai rakyat dan karena investasi sosial yang kita miliki di masyarakat. Bahkan harusnya rakyat yang membeli kita karena kita pantas secara moral, intelektual dan dianggap mampu mengelola pemerintahan di daerahnya.
Sesungguhnya banyak yang pingin tapi apakah pantes? Menutup perbincangan yang dimulai dari hulu dan hilir masalah, Bangun Sitohang yang fokus masalah nilai menjadi orang Indonesia ini mengajak kita menggelorakan budaya malu agar maju bangsa ini. (Zul/Endi)
