TIMIKA – KEPALA Kepolisian Daerah Papua Irjen Polisi Boy Rafli Amar mengajak seluruh komponen masyarakat di wilayah itu agar benar-benar dapat mewujudkan harapan menjadikan Papua sebagai daerah yang aman dan damai, bukan sekadar slogan tanpa makna.

“Kami ingin Papua aman dan damai. TNI dan Polri berkomitmen untuk itu. Perlu dukungan masyarakat luas untuk mewujudkan itu agar tidak sekadar menjadi sebuah slogan,” kata Boy Rafli di Timika, Selasa.

Kapolda menegaskan upaya memburu 21 buronan yang masuk dalam Daftar Pencarian Orang (DPO) terkait berbagai kasus penembakan di wilayah Tembagapura dan sekitarnya masih terus dilakukan oleh jajaran kepolisian setempat.

Hanya saja hingga kini belum ada dari 21 buronan tersebut yang tertangkap.

Kepolisian berharap dukungan luas dari masyarakat Papua untuk meniadakan orang-orang sipil bersenjata agar mereka tidak membahayakan keselamatan nyawa orang lain.

“Membawa senjata api, apalagi digunakan untuk kepentingan melawan hukum, itu sangat membahayakan. Tidak dibenarkan senjata api dipegang oleh masyarakat sipil untuk melakukan tindakan atau perbuatan melawan hukum, apalagi menghilangkan nyawa orang lain,” kata Irjen Boy Rafli.

Kapolda mengakui maklumat yang disampaikannya beberapa waktu lalu agar orang-orang yang memegang dan menguasai senjata api tanpa hak agar segera diserahkan kepada aparat berwenang telah mulai dipatuhi oleh warga setempat.

Baru-baru ini di Jayapura, ada salah seorang tokoh adat menyerahkan senjata api, berikut amunisinya kepada pihak berwajib.

Menurut Kapolda, sudah bukan zamannya lagi sekarang ini melakukan cara-cara kekerasan dan tidak menghormati hukum dalam menyelesaikan berbagai persoalan.

“Sekarang sudah zamannya membangun, butuh kerja keras. Tindakan memaksakan kehendak melalui pemikiran yang anarkis, radikal tidak akan bisa diterima oleh orang banyak. Kalau hari ini masih ada yang menggunakan cara-cara kekerasan maka itu adalah pelanggaran hukum,” kata Kapolda.

Adapun terkait kasus kekerasan yang menimpa warga pendatang luar Papua yang diisolasi oleh KKB di wilayah Banti, Kimbeli dan area longsoran, Distrik Tembagapura, beberapa waktu lalu hingga kini masih dalam penyelidikan jajaran Polres Mimika.

Informasi yang dihimpun menyebutkan polisi telah meminta keterangan dari 17 saksi terkait kasus itu.

Polres Mimika menerima 85 laporan adanya tindak kekerasan yang dialami para pendulang emas tradisional, pemilik kios, pembeli emas yang rata-rata berasal dari berbagai suku di luar Papua. Tindak kekerasan itu mereka alami selama aksi pendudukan oleh KKB di Banti, Kimbeli, Utikini dan area longsoran dekat Kali Kabur selama lebih dari tiga pekan.

Dari puluhan kasus kekerasan itu, satu kasus tergolong tindak pidana berat, yaitu pemerkosaan, tiga kasus percobaan pemerkosaan, dan delapan kasus pelecehan seksual.

Warga juga melaporkan adanya kasus penganiayaan dengan ditodong menggunakan senjata api yang menimpa 19 orang, warga yang dirampas telepon genggamnya sebanyak 74 orang dengan total telepon genggam yang dirampas sebanyak 202.

Adapun uang yang dirampas komplotan bersenjata itu mencapai total Rp107.500.000 dengan jumlah korban mencapai 15 orang dan emas yang dirampas mencapai total 254,4 gram dengan jumlah korban sebanyak tujuh orang. (Ant/Foto:Ist)
