Kasad Resmikan Nama Lima Gedung Baru di Jajaran Kodam II/Sriwijaya

JAKARTA, tniad.mil.id – Kepala Staf Angkatan Darat (Kasad) Jenderal TNI Dr. Dudung Abdurachman didampingi Ketua Umum Persit Kartika Chandra Kirana Ny. Rahma Dudung Abdurachman meresmikan lima nama gedung baru di jajaran Kodam II/Sriwijaya, Palembang, Selasa (14/2/2023). Penamaan gedung dengan nama pahlawan merupakan bentuk penghormatan dan penghargaan atas jasa-jasa para pahlawan dalam perjuangannya menegakkan kedaulatan NKRI dan membesarkan TNI AD.

 

Peresmian nama-nama gedung tersebut ditandai dengan dibunyikannya sirine oleh Kasad serta disaksikan oleh Pangdam II/Sriwijaya Mayjen TNI Hilman Hadi, S.I.P., M.B.A., M.Han., Gubernur Sumsel H. Herman Deru, Kapolda Sumsel Irjen Pol A Rachmad Wibowo dan Danrem 044/Gapo, dilanjutkan penyerahan piagam oleh Pangdam II/Swj kepada masing-masing perwakilan pihak keluarga.

 

Nama-nama gedung yang baru diresmikan Kasad tersebut, diambil dari nama para pahlawan yang berjuang pada masa Kemerdekaan Republik Indonesia asal Sumatera Selatan, antara lain gedung yang berada di Makodam II/Swj yaitu


Gedung Abdul Rozak (Residen Abdul Rozak), Gedung H. Barlian (Kolonel Inf H. Barlian, Mantan Pangdam II/Swj) Gedung Bambang Utoyo (Jenderal TNI Bambang Utoyo, Mantan Kasad), yang berada di Jasdam II/Swj yakni Gedung Haroen Sohar (Panglima Tentara Teritorium II/Sriwijaya) dan yang berada di Makorem 044/Gapo yaitu Gedung A.M. Thalib (Mantan Gubernur Militer Sumsel).

 

“Setiap gedung ini harus ada namanya, pemberian nama gedung dengan nama sesepuh kita merupakan suatu penghargaan kepada leluhur-leluhur kita, kalau tidak ada beliau-beliau mungkin kita tidak bisa berdiri seperti sekarang ini, “ tegas Kasad.

Lebih lanjut Kasad menyampaikan, menghormati dan menjunjung tinggi para leluhur dengan memberikan nama gedung, dapat memotivasi seluruh prajurit bagaimana perjuangan para sesepuh dan pahlawan terpatri nilai-nilai pengorbanan dalam membesarkan Kodam II/Sriwijaya maupun TNI AD.

Usai meresmikan nama gedung di jajaran Kodam II/Sriwijaya, Kasad bersama Ketua Umum Persit KCK Ny. Rahma Dudung Abdurachman memberikan bantuan secara simbolis kepada keluarga stunting dan kurang mampu serta anak yatim berupa tali asih dan 100 paket sembako serta menyaksikan berbagai atraksi dan kesenian dari prajurit-prajurit Kodam II/Swj .
