KESBANG.COM, JAKARTA –  Kementrian Dalam Negeri melalui Direktorat Politik Dalam Negeri Direktorat Jenderal Politik dan Pemerintahan Umum (Polpum) melakukan Rapat Koordinasi (Rakor) Penguatan Kelompok Kerja Demokrasi di Daerah.

Rakor bertema  “Penguatan dan Strategi Peningkatan Indeks Demokrasi Indonesia” digelar di Hotel Royal Kuningan, Rabu (27/9/2017)  ini dihadiri Sekretaris Ditjen Polpum Didi Sudiana, Direktur Politik Dalam Negeri, Bahtiar, Sekretaris Deputi II Kementrian Koordinator Polhukam, Janirudin, pengamat dari LIPI, DR. Syarif Hidayat dan Direktur Eksekutif Perkumpulan untuk Pemilu dan Demokrasi (Perludem), Titik Anggraini.

Rakor juga menghadirkan para pejabat Kementrian Polhukam, BPS dan Bappenas, Kepala Bappeda Provinsi, Sekretaris Badan Kesbangpol Provinsi seluruh Indonesia, dan kepala bidang pada badan Kesbangpol Provinisi Seluruh Indonesia yang membidangi Indeks Demokrasi Indonesia (IDI).

Dalam sambutannya, Direktur Jenderal Politik dan Pemerintahan Umum Kementerian Dalam Negeri yang diwakili oleh Sekretaris Ditjen Polpum Didi Sudiana mengatakan bahwa keterlibatan Kemendagri c.q. Ditjen Politik dan Pemerintahan Umum dalam program IDI, yaitu memfasilitasi pengembangan Pokja Demokrasi Provinsi. Hal ini telah kami lakukan sejak awal tahun 2011 dengan dimulainya keterlibatan kami dalam penyusunan indikator demokrasi Indonesia yang harus sesuai dengan Pancasila, UUD’45, Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, dan NKRI serta mengeluarkan surat Menteri Dalam Negeri yang ditujukan kepada seluruh Gubernur seluruh Indonesia agar membuat Kelompok Kerja Demokrasi Provinsi guna membantu kami dalam mensukseskan program IDI.

Sementara itu, Ketua Panitia yang juga Kasubdit Fasilitasi Lembaga Pemerintahan dan Perwakilan Polpum, Dedy Taryadi menambahkan tujuan utama Rapat Koordinasi Tim Pokja terkait Penguatan Pokja Demokrasi Indonesia di Daerah adalah untuk memperkuat kelembagaan Pokja di daerah serta untuk menyusun strategi peningkatan IDI di daerah dalam rangka pengembangan demokrasi di Indonesia dan kemudian menjadikannya sebagai dasar dalam perbaikan pembangunan politik dan demokrasi.
