Acara ini diselenggarakan secara hybrid dan dibuka oleh Gubernur Sulawesi Selatan H. Andi Sudirman Sulaiman, S.T serta dihadiri oleh Dirjen Bina Pembangunan Daerah Kemendagri Dr. Teguh Setyabudi, M.Pd, Direktur Regional II Bappenas Mohammad Roudo, ST., MPP., Ph.D, Wakil Ketua DPRD Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan, Kepala Bappeda Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan, Bupati dan Walikota Se Sulawesi Selatan, Kepala Perangkat Daerah se-Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan, Forkopimda Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan.
Forum konsultasi publik RPD tahun 2024-2026 ini menjadi sangat penting untuk memperoleh masukan penyempurnaan rancangan dokumen RPD. Hasil forum ini dirumuskan dalam berita acara kesepakatan yang akan ditandatangi oleh para pemangku kepentingan yang hadir.
Sesuai dengan diktum kesatu Instruksi Menteri Dalam Negeri Nomor 52 Tahun 2022, bahwa kepala daerah yang masa jabatannya berakhir pada tahun 2023 dan bagi Daerah Otonom Baru (DOB), untuk segera menyusun dokumen perencanaan pembangunan menengah daerah tahun 2024-2026 yang selanjutnya disebut sebagai Rencana Pembangunan Daerah Provinsi tahun 2024-2026. RPD Provinsi Tahun 2024-2026 ditetapkan paling lambat pekan ketiga bulan Maret tahun 2023.
Dalam penyusunan RPD tentunya harus memperhatikan isi-isu strategis nasional seperti percepatan penghapusan kemiskinan, penanganan stunting, peningkatan pertumbuhan ekonomi, midle income trap, percepatan pembangunan infrastruktur, pengurangan resiko bencana, pasokan energi dan pangan, peningkatan kualitas SDM, reformasi birokrasi, Pilpres dan Pilkada serentak Tahun 2024 dan perencanaan pembangunan jangka panjang Tahun 2025-2045, jelas Teguh.
Teguh menegaskan agar proses penyusunan RPD ini dilakukan secara transparan dan konstruktif. Setelah Konsultasi publik ini Pemerintah Daerah Sulawesi Selatan agar segera melakukan penyempurnaan menuju Rancangan Akhir RPD sesuai dengan masukan selama proses ini dan selanjutnya akan dilakukan fasilitasi Rancangan Akhir oleh Ditjen Bina Bangda sebelum ditetapkan menjadi Peraturan Gubernur Sulawesi Selatan.
