KESBANG.COM, TEMANGGUNG –  Berbicara jalan-jalan ke Kota Surakarta atau Solo, mungkin yang terbesit pertama kali di benak kita ialah Keraton Kasunanan, Pasar Klewer, Stasiun Balapan, Terminal Tirtonadi, atau Stadion Manahan.

Namun, ada juga satu olahan makanan yang tak boleh kita lewatkan saat berkunjung ke sana. Ya, serabi notosuman. Mungkin bagi sebagian besar masyarakat di seputaran Jawa Tengah, nama dan kekhasan rasa makanan ini bukan lagi menjadi hal yang asing di lidah. Terlebih, belakangan ini sudah banyak yang menjajakan serabi notosuman di daerah lain.

Apapun ceritanya, tetap saja kurang lengkap apabila tak langsung mencicipi sajian makanan di daerah aslinya. Salah satu lokasi yang cukup tersohor dan legendaries di Kota Surakarta adalah Omah Serabi milik H. Oemar yang beralamat di Jalan Gatot Subroto Kelurahan Serengan.

Bukan tanpa sebab, menurut sang pemilik, Doni Susanto, dirinya kini menjadi pewaris ke tiga dari usaha yang telah ditekuni secara turun-temurun sejak periode tahun 1900 an atas resep eyangnya.

“Kalau tempatnya produksinya memang baru saya jalankan selama dua tahun terakhir. Tetapi, resep membuat serabi notosuman seperti sekarang ini, saya peroleh langsung dari eyang,” akunya.

Meski harga satuannya cukup murah, Rp 1.000 per buah, namun dalam sehari dirinya mengklaim mampu menjual rata-rata sebanyak 8.500 buah yang dibuat dengan adonan seberat 100 kilogram. Jika di rupiahkan, omset per hari dari Omah Serabi H Oemar ini menembus angka yang cukup fantastis, Rp 10 juta. Bahkan lebih saat akhir pekan tiba.

“Selain Solo dan sekitarnya, produk serabi notosuman saya sudah buka cabang di beberapa kota di Pulau Jawa dan Sumatera,” urainya.

Selain murah, pembeli juga dapat memilih citarasa serabi sesuai dengan selera masing-masing. Mulai original, pisang, coklat, hingga nangka. Apabila ingin dijadikan sebagai oleh-oleh (buah tangan) dengan wadah paktis, serabi ini juga dijual dalam bentuk paketan. Yakni Rp 12.000 per kotak berisi 12 buah.

Meski sama-sama dibuat dari tepung terigu dan tepung beras, namun ia membeberkan, terdapat perbedaan mencolok antara serabi notosuman dengan serabi jenis lain. Di antaranya  dari segi rasa, aroma, dan tekstur sehingga tidak sembarangan orang dapat membuat makanan kudapan ini.

“Ceritanya begini, dahulu serabi notosuman sebenarnya adalah salah satu makanan kudapan yang pasti disajikan saat perhelatan ritual keraton (Kasunanan), itupun khusus diperuntukkan bagi para raja hingga sampai saat ini terus lestari dan menjadi salah satu identitas Kota Surakarta,” pungkasnya.
