*JAKARTA* – Ketua MPR RI sekaligus Wakil Ketua Umum Partai Golkar Bambang Soesatyo mengapresiasi dukungan Menteri BUMN Erick Thohir atas inisiasi MPR RI membentuk World Forum People’s Consultative Assembly (Forum Majelis Permusyawaratan Rakyat Dunia/Forum MPR Dunia), pada 24-26 Oktober 2022 di Gedung Merdeka, Bandung. Tempat yang sangat bersejarah, sebagai saksi penyelenggaraan Konferensi Asia Afrika tahun 1955.
“Pembentukan Forum MPR Dunia mengundang sekitar 54 parlemen negara yang bergabung dalam The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation/OIC (Organisasi Kerjasama Islam). Untuk mendukung kesuksesan penyelenggaraannya, Menteri BUMN Erick Thohir akan ikut terlibat mengakselerasi agar acara tersebut berjalan sukses membawa nama besar Indonesia di mata dunia. Hal itu juga menunjukan bentuk gotong royong dari berbagai stakeholders bangsa untuk bersama-sama dengan MPR RI menjadi tuan rumah sekaligus menyukseskan pembentukan Forum MPR Dunia, yang bisa menguatkan diplomasi internasional pemerintah Indonesia dalam mewujudkan perdamaian dunia, sesuai amanat dalam pembukaan konstitusi UUD NRI 1945,” ujar Bamsoet bersama pimpinan MPR lainnya usai menerima Menteri BUMN Erick Thohir, di Ruang Rapat Pimpinan MPR RI, Jakarta, Rabu (21/9/22).
Turut hadir para Wakil Ketua MPR RI antara lain, Jazilul Fawaid, Yandri Susanto, Hidayat Nur Wahid, dan Fadel Muhammad. Hadir pula Sekretaris Menteri BUMN Susyanto.
Ketua DPR RI ke-20 sekaligus mantan Ketua Komisi III DPR RI bidang Hukum, HAM, dan Keamanan ini menjelaskan, setelah diinisiasi oleh MPR RI, gagasan pembentukan Forum MPR Dunia berkembang dalam pertemuan Pimpinan MPR dengan Raja Arab H.H Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud, Ketua Majelis Syuro Saudi Arabia di Riyadh, dan Ketua Majelis Syuro Maroko di Rabat, pada Desember 2019 yang lalu. Salah satunya dilatarbelakangi atas kebutuhan menghadirkan tatanan dunia yang harmonis dan berkeadaban, dalam rangka mewujudkan ketertiban dunia yang berdasarkan kemerdekaan, perdamaian abadi, dan keadilan sosial.
“Mengingat saat ini geo politik dunia tengah bergejolak. Konflik dan ketegangan global, meski jauh di seberang benua, tetap memberikan dampak yang dirasakan langsung oleh berbagai masyarakat di seluruh dunia. Perang dengan alasan apapun, selalu membawa petaka, kehancuran dan kesengsaraan, serta berbagai krisis, seperti krisis kemanusiaan, krisis lingkungan, krisis ekonomi global, krisis pangan, krisis air, dan krisis energi,” jelas Bamsoet.
Wakil Ketua Umum Partai Golkar dan Kepala Badan Hubungan Penegakan Hukum, Pertahanan dan Keamanan KADIN Indonesia ini menerangkan, menjadi keuntungan tersendiri, apabila terdapat sejumlah saluran organisasi internasional dalam rangka menyikapi persoalan yang dihadapi umat manusia. Forum MPR Dunia sebagai bentuk organisasi yang tidak permanen, bisa memiliki peran strategis di kancah global.
“Antara lain, turut memberikan alternatif solusi di tengah dinamika global yang sedang bergejolak, dan menawarkan agenda konsolidasi ekonomi antar negara untuk mencapai kerjasama strategis, dengan komitmen pembangunan inklusif secara global,” pungkas Bamsoet. (*)
