*JAKARTA* – Ketua MPR RI sekaligus Ketua Umum Ikatan Motor Indonesia (IMI) Bambang Soesatyo mengapresiasi kesuksesan penyelenggaraan Arm Wrestling (Panco) Indonesia Vs Singapura, “Teddkris Challenge. Super Match Series 2023” pada Rabu (15/2/23) di Black Stone Garage (IMI Lounge) di Jl.Hang Jebat No.1A Kebayoran Baru Jakarta Selatan.

Pertandingan Indonesia Vs Singapura terjadi di tiga kategori. Antara lain, di kategori 85+ Kg antara Greggory Yeo ( Singapura) Vs Iwan Diono (Indonesia), dimenangkan Iwan Diono (Indonesia). Di kategori 95+ Kg antara Matthew Wong (Singapura) Vs Tommy Kang (Indonesia), dimenangkan Matthew Wong. Serta di kategori 65 Kg antara Ryan Ng (Singapura) melawan Yusman Ellank (Indonesia), dimenangkan Ryang Ng.

“Dipertandingan kategori lainnya, diperebutkan oleh para atlet panco dari berbagai daerah di Indonesia. Antara lain, Widodo Santoso (Lampung) yang memenangkan kategori -65kg setelah mengalahkan Prima Sitorus (Surabaya). Novan Siregar (Jakarta Utara) memenangkan kategori +75 Kg setelah mengalahkan Samuel Bhakti (Banten),” ujar Bamsoet di Jakarta, Rabu (15/2/23).

Ketua DPR RI ke-20 dan mantan Ketua Komisi III DPR RI bidang Hukum, HAM, dan Keamanan ini menjelaskan, latar belakang dibuatnya event ini karena begitu antusiasnya para atlit panco untuk menguji kekuatan dan penguasaan teknik di meja menjelang kejuaraan nasional yg akan di langsungkan di Jawa Barat pada Juli 2023.

“Panco belakangan ini semakin digandrungi oleh anak-anak muda di seluruh Indonesia. Oleh karena itu POGTI sebagai wadah yang membawahi olahraga ini sudah dibentuk di hampir 13 Provinsi dan POGTI sudah masuk di Kementerian Olahraga dibawah KORMI karena belum mencukupi Pengda untuk masuk di dalam kepengurusan KONI,” jelas Bamsoet.

Wakil Ketua Umum Pemuda Pancasila dan Kepala Badan Hubungan Penegakan Hukum, Pertahanan dan Keamanan KADIN Indonesia ini menerangkan, teknik dan penguasaan tenaga dalam dalam panco ada beragam. Antara lain, hook, top roll, dan side press. Ketiga teknik ini dapat dikuasai dengan cara sparing atau latihan langsung di meja panco.

“Karena itu atas inisiatif berbagai pihak, event Indonesia Vs Singapura tersebut dapat terselenggara. Diprakarsai oleh Teddy Saputra dan di support ALGOJO FITNES , AJI STRONGMAN, dan Black Stone Garage.
