MESKIPUN tanggal pendaftaran pendaftaran bakal calon anggota legislatif alias Bacaleg DPR RI, DPRD Provinsi, DPRD Kabupaten/Kota, serta DPD telah dibuka dari 1-14 Mei 2023. Namun, sampai saat ini ‘hilal’ sidang putusan Mahkamah Konstitusi (MK) soal sistem pemilu belum tampak. Apakah akan tetap proporsional terbuka, diubah menjadi proporsional tertutup, atau dimodifikasi.
Mungkin karena belum jelas kepastian sistem pemilu seperti apa yang akan diberlakukan, maka suasana Pileg 2024 tidak seperti Pileg sebelumnya. Di Pileg sebelumnya (2019), jalanan sudah ramai dengan poster, gambar para Bacaleg. Begitupun jika saja, dari bulan-bulan lalu, Mahkamah Konstitusi (MK) mengumumkan bahwa sistem pemilu tertutup yang akan diberlakukan maka akan menurunkan minat orang untuk jadi Bacaleg.
Sistem pemilu terbuka lah yang bisa memberikan ruang—kesempatan bagi siapa saja yang ingin jadi anggota parlemen. Orang dengan latar belakang apa saja bisa ; artis, ustad, pengusaha, pengangguran bahkan preman sekalipun bisa mencalonkan diri sebagai caleg, selama persyaratan administrasi terpenuhi.
Pileg (Pemilihan Legislatif) dengan sistem terbuka seperti di Pileg tahun 2009, 2014, dan 2019 ibarat sebuah kompetisi, ada yang lolos terpilih, ada yang gagal tak terpilih. Tentu yang terpilih syukuran. Syukuran terpilih jadi dewan. Sedangkan bagi yang tidak terpilih ada yang mampu melewati peristiwa itu sebagai peristiwa biasa-biasa saja, ada juga yang sampai mengalami gangguan jiwa.
Berikut ini penyimpangan jiwa dari para caleg yang gagal, yang coba penulis urut meskipun tidak semua ditulis, cukup beberapa contoh kasus pada setiap pasca Pileg.
Pasca pemilu Legislatif 2009, Balai Kesehatan Jiwa Masyarakat (BKJM) Kalawa Atel Palangkaraya menerima lima pasien gangguan jiwa, yakni dua calon anggota legislator dan tiga simpatisan partai politik. Menurut BKJM kalawa Atel pangkaraya, Wineini Marhaeny Rubay, dalam sebuah wawancara dengan media, salah satu caleg yang datang sudah dalam kondisi gila pada tanggal 10 April 2009 atau sehari setelah pemilu digelar, dan sempat mendapat perawatan darurat sebelum akhirnya dikirim ke Yayasan Joint Adulam Ministry yang menjadi penampungan orang-orang gila.
Di Tanggerang, ada caleg gagal marah-marah tak jelas dan terlihat frustasi berat. Dia merangkak di pinggir jalan dengan membawa-bawa cangkir sambil meminta-minta uang kepada orang yang berlalu lalang, sembari berujar, ”kembalikan uang saya!”
Data Kementerian Kesehatan menunjukkan ribuan orang mengalami gangguan jiwa dan menjadi pasien pasca-Pemilu 2009. Pada Pemilu 2014 juga terdapat sejumlah orang yang mengalami gangguan jiwa, tapi jumlahnya tak sebanyak di 2009.
Pasca Pemilu 2014, ada caleg yang meminta kembali sumbangan yang diberikan ke masjid, dan 10 truk pasir dan kubah masjid karena tidak memperoleh suara (gagal) di sebuah desa. Ada juga caleg yang gagal dibawa oleh keluarganya ke sebuah padepokan di Desa Sinarancang, Kecamatan Mundu, Kabupaten Cirebon. Dia menjalani pengobatan di padepokan dengan cara dimandikan dulu, lantas dibacakan ayat-ayat suci Al- Quran atau diruqyah, agar sembuh dari stressnya. Selain stress ada yang sampai depresi, yang membuat sang caleg gagal bunuh diri di sebuah saung bambu di Dusun Limusnunggal, Desa Bangunjaya, Kecamatan Langkaplancar, Kabupaten Ciamis.
Sejumlah calon anggota legislatif gagal terpilih untuk duduk di parlemen dalam pemilu 2019, beberapa diantaranya mengalami stres. Salah satunya Arif, bukan nama sebenarnya. Ia bertarung di kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara, Kalimantan Timur, untuk duduk di kursi anggota dewan perwakilan rakyat daerah (DPRD).Sejak tiga hari setelah hari pencoblosan hingga Kamis (16/5) lalu, Arif justru duduk di tempat lain: panti rehabilitasi jiwa dan narkoba di Kabupaten Purbalingga, Jawa Tengah. Ia stres usai gagal memperoleh kursi parlemen. “Kacau. Bingung,” imbuh Arif, lirih.
Itulah beberapa kisah pilu caleg gagal di Pileg dengan sistem pemilu terbuka. Kisah-kisah itu sungguh terjadi di negeri ini sejak Pemilu merupakan ajang “jorjoran” untuk merebut hati publik yang menyedot banyak tenaga dan biaya. Tentu kisah pilu caleg gagal tak perlu menyurutkan semangat bagi siapapun yang berminat jadi caleg di Pileg 2024, namun perlu realitis jangan sampai kehilangan akal waras, hingga kemudian jadi tidak waras.
Seorang caleg yang ikut kompetisi di sistem terbuka, harus mempersiapkan diri. Terutama siap kalah. Siap kalah sangat diperlukan agar tidak jadi penghuni ruang rawat jiwa, atau jadi klien tetap psikiater, paranormal atau dukun, dan jadi bagian dari kisah pilu pasca PILEG 2024 yang mungkin akan saya tulis pasca Pileg 2024 akan datang.
