KPU Didesak Segera Lakukan Banding

Jakarta – WAKIL Sekretaris Jenderal Dewan Pimpinan Pusat (DPP) Ikatan Advokad Indonesia (IKADIN) Penta Peturun, SH mendesak Komisi Pemilihan Umum (KPU) serius dan segera melakukan banding terhadap putusan tersebut dan harus segera melakukannya.

“Karena, sampai saat ini publik belum melihat ada permohonan banding dimasukkan dengan batas waktu 14 (empat belas) hari. Paling tidak KPU membuktikan ke publik telah diajukan di kepaniteraan PN Jakpus. untuk menghindari putusan PN Jakpus tidak dilaksanakan, karena belum mempunyai kekuatan hukum tetap,” kata Penta Peturun kepada wartawan di Jakarta, Senin (6/3/23).

Penta mengatakan bahwa hal ini menyikapi putusan PN Jakpus nomor register 757/Pdt.G/2022/PN Jkt.Pst yang menunda pemilu hingga 2025 terkait Partai Prima.

Karena itu, Penta yang juga Ketua Dewan Perwakilan Daerah Ikatan Advokat Indonesia (IKADIN) Lampung ini mengatakan bahwa Memori Banding harus disusun sebaik mungkin untuk membantah putusan PN Jakpus. “Harus dilakukan demi masa depan tatanan hukum dan demokrasi di Indonesia yang lebih baik,” katanya.

Menurut Penta, saat ini bola panas penentu keselamatan negeri ini ada di tangan KPU. KPU harus serius menyusun memori banding, jangan asal-asalan. Jangan sampai Pemilu tertunda karena KPU yang tidak serius.

Jika KPU tidak melakukan banding, kata Penta, KPU ikut bertanggung jawab terhadap rusaknya tatanan hukum dan demokrasi di Indonesia.

“Jika KPU tidak melakukan banding, kita patut mencurigai ada permainan apa di balik itu semua. Sehingga masyarakat tidak menilai sebagai peradilan Tipu Muslihat,” tandas Penta.
