“Keadaan itu terjadi lebih karena partai-partai politik yang sangat dominan saat ini, tidak memberi peluang untuk munculnya pemimpin negara yang berwibawa guna mengatasi semua problem bangsa.”
Pernyataan itu dilontarkan aktivis sosial politik yang juga koordinator Komunitas Tionghoa Anti Korupsi (KomTak), Lieus Sungkharisma di hadapan sejumlah wartawan.
Menurut Lieus, apa yang terjadi sejak reformasi 1998 adalah maraknya politik transaksional yang melahirkan pemimpin yang didukung penuh oleh partai-partai, namun sangat minus kemampuan leadership.
“Lima kali pergantian presiden selama 24 tahun reformasi, kita hanya berganti-ganti rezim belaka, tapi tidak kunjung melahirkan prestasi apapun yang membuat bangsa lain segan dan hormat pada kita. Kasus Ustadz Abdul Somad yang dideportasi dari Singapura tanpa alasan jelas, adalah salah satu wujud dari tidak adanya rasa hormat itu,” ujar Lieus.
Bahkan, tambah Lieus, semakin hari bangsa ini semakin terpecah oleh maraknya politik kubu-kubuan, dukung mendukung figur dan hilangnya rasa saling menghormati dan saling percaya antar sesama anak bangsa.
“Hari ini kita bisa menyaksikan bagaimana politik kubu-kubuan, dukung mendukung dan pecah belah itu terus terjadi dalam macam-macam bentuk dan tindakan,” katanya.
Karena itulah Lieus dan sejumlah aktivis lain membentuk Panitia Penjaringan Presiden Republik Indonesia atau P3RI.
PERI, kata Lieus, adalah lembaga non struktural yang dibentuk demi melakukan upaya penjaringan putra terbaik bangsa di seluruh Indonesia untuk diusulkan kepada rakyat sebagai kandidat presiden, wakil presiden dan menteri-menteri kabinet Indonesia di masa datang.
“Melalui PERI kita menghimpun nama-nama putra terbaik bangsa dari seluruh Indonesia. Kemudian nama-nama tersebut kita sampaikan ke masyarakat dalam bentuk polling pengambilan suara terbanyak dengan menggunakan fasilitas media sosial,” ujar Lieus.
Suara siapa yang nanti paling banyak dipilih rakyat, kata Lieus, dialah yang kita usulkan agar dipilih partai politik sebagai calon presiden dan wakil presiden Indonesia mendatang. “Sedang tokoh yang lainnya, yang lolos dalam proses penjaringan, kita harapkan bersedia membantu presiden,” jelas Lieus.
Ditambahkan Lieus, upaya penjaringan calon Presiden ini harus dilakukan untuk membangkitkan partisipasi rakyat dalam menentukan calon pemimpinnya di masa datang. “Juga agar rakyat terhindar dari praktik membeli kucing dalam karung,” katanya.
“Kita tidak boleh terus menerus menyerahkan mekanisme pemilihan dan penentuan calon presiden serta menteri-menteri di kabinet pemerintahan pada praktik politik transaksional sebagaimana yang terjadi selama ini,” kata Lieus.
Maka, jika kita ingin negeri ini berubah menjadi lebih baik, tegas Lieus, sebagai rakyat kita harus melakukan sesuatu yang berarti untuk bangsa dan negara ini.
“Bukan malah terus larut dalam hiruk pikuk dukung mendukung, lalu marah-marah karena calon yang didukungnya tidak memenuhi ekspektasinya,” tegas Lieus.
