KESBANG.COM, DEPOK – Kepala Staf TNI Angkatan Darat (Kasad) secara resmi membuka kejuaraan Lomba Tembak Piala Kasad Tahun 2017, bertempat di Lapangan tembak Divisi Infanteri I Kostrad Cilodong, Depok, Jawa Barat, Senin (21/8). Kejuaraan ini akan berlangsung selama 8 hari, mulai tanggal 18 sampai 25 Agustus 2017.

Kejuaraan Lomba Tembak piala Kasad ini merupakan kegiatan rutin tahunan yang diselenggarakan sebagai bagian dari evaluasi hasil pembinaan latihan prajurit dan satuan jajaran TNI AD, khususnya di bidang menembak. Dan sesuai dengan slogan yang sering di sampaikan Kasad kepada prajurit dalam setiap kunjungannya di satuan-satuan jajaran Angkatan Darat yaitu, “Prajurit harus disiplin, jago perang, jago tembak, jago beladiri, dan memiliki fisik yang prima”.

Tema yang diusung pada lomba tembak tahun ini adalah “Melalui Lomba Tembak Piala Kasad TA 2017 Kita Wujudkan Prajurit TNI AD Yang Jago Tembak Dalam Rangka Mendukung Tugas Pokok”.

Dalam amanatnya Kasad mengatakan bahwa, TNI AD harus mengakui, bahwa proses regenerasi masih belum berjalan dengan optimal, karena Tim Menembak TNI AD dalam kejuaraan internasional masih didominasi oleh para petembak lama.

“Oleh karena itu, melalui kegiatan Lomba Tembak Piala Kasad ini, diharapkan dapat muncul petembak-petembak baru dengan prestasi yang baik, agar dapat dipersiapkan sebagai atlet untuk Lomba Tembak internasional dimasa depan, sebagai bagian dari proses regenerasi,” katanya.

Kasad mengatakan, bahwa parameter prajurit profesional mahir dalam menembak.

“Selain merupakan keterampilan perorangan yang mutlak dikuasai, menjadi jago tembak juga harus menjadi dambaan dan kebanggaan seorang prajurit sejati, karena mahir menembak merupakan salah satu parameter seorang prajurit professional”, tegas Kasad.

Dalam lomba tembak piala Kasad ini ada empat materi lomba yang akan dipertandingkan, yaitu materi tembak senapan, tembak pistol, tembak senapan otomatis dan karaben.

Kejuaraan tersebut diikuti oleh 18 satuan tingkat Kotama yaitu Divisi 1 Kostrad, Divisi 2 Kostrad, Kopassus, Kodam I/BB, Kodam II/SWJ, Kodam III/SLW, Kodam IV/DIP, Kodam V/BRW Kodam VI/MLW, Kodam IX/UDY, Kodam XII/TP, Kodam XIII/MDK, Kodam XIV/HSN, Kodam XVI/PTM, Kodam XVII/CEN, Kodam XVIII/Kasuari, Kodam IM, dan Kodam Jaya.

Peserta lomba dari seluruh Kotama berjumlah 447 orang dengan rincian 90 orang peserta di kelas pistol Pa Kotama eksekutif, 90 orang senapan, 54 orang pistol putra, 51 orang pistol putrid, 54 orang tembak pistol karaben, dan 72 orang peserta di kelas tembak senapan otomatis, 36 orang tembak runduk.
