JAKARTA – Presiden Joko Widodo memandang bahwa transisi dari pandemi Covid-19 menuju endemi harus dilakukan secara hati-hati melalui berbagai tahapan.

Hal tersebut diungkapkan Presiden saat menanggapi pertanyaan jurnalis terkait diperbolehkannya mudik pada Lebaran tahun 2022 dan dampaknya pada transisi tersebut.

“Kita yang pertama memang mudik kita perbolehkan karena melihat angka-angka kasus harian sudah sangat rendah dan kasus aktifnya kan sudah di bawah 20 ribu memang rendah. Tetapi, apapun ada masa transisi yang masih kita harus hati-hati,” ujar Presiden Jokowi dalam keterangan persnya usai meninjau Sirkuit Formula E, Jakarta, Senin, 25 April 2022.

Kepala Negara menegaskan bahwa pemerintah tidak ingin seperti negara-negara lain yang langsung melakukan kebijakan melepas masker. Menurutnya, pemerintah akan melihat situasi pada masa transisi selama enam bulan ke depan.

“Saya tidak ingin kayak negara-negara lain langsung buka masker, ndak. Ini masih masa transisi, kira-kira enam bulan kita lihat seperti apa, baru nanti silakan kalau di luar ruangan buka masker, kalau di dalam ruangan masih pakai masker,” jelasnya.

Presiden menambahkan bahwa ada sejumlah tahapan yang harus dilewati dan pemerintah tidak akan tergesa-gesa dalam memutuskan kebijakan.

Menurutnya, pemerintah juga memiliki sejumlah pengalaman saat menghadapi lonjakan kasus Covid-19 varian Delta maupun Omicron.

“Ada tahapan-tahapan yang kita tidak perlu tergesa-gesa. Apapun, kita punya pengalaman saat Delta seperti apa, saat Omicron seperti apa, sehingga kehati-hatian, kewaspadaan itu tetap harus,” tandasnya.
