KESBANG.COM, JAKARTA – Menteri Dalam Negeri (Mendagri) Tjahjo Kumolo hadir dalam Workshop Nasional yang diadakan Kongres Kesatuan Perempuan Partai Golkar di Hotel Sultan, Senayan, Jakarta. Dalam acara tersebut, ia mendukung agar keterwakilan perempuan dalam kontestasi politik bisa meningkat pada Pilkada 2018 dan Pemilu Serentak 2019.

Tjahjo mengatakan, sesuai amanat UU No. 7 Tahun 2017 Tentang Penyelenggaraan Pemilu, terdapat kuota 30 persen bagi perempuan menduduki kursi legislatif. Namun, ia mengakui memang tak mudah menyiapkan tokoh wanita yang sanggup lolos dalam pesta demokrasi 5 tahunan ini.

“Memang jumlah caleg di setiap pemilu sudah memenuhi kuota 30 persen tapi keterwakilan yang jadi, sangat minim sekali. Tahun 2014 hanya 17 persen jumlah kader wanita yang bisa duduk di DPR,” kata Tjahjo, Sabtu (26/8).

Semua ini memang kembali pada ‘political will’ masing-masing partai politik (parpol). Makanya, perlu strategi khusus jika ingin menang dalam Pileg dan memenuhi kuota 30 persen keterwakilan perempuan. Kesalahan parpol sekarang adalah mengadu sesama kader dalam satu dapil.

Ia juga menilai kalau upaya kaum perempuan untuk maju dalam kontestasi pemilu masih terhambat beberapa kendala. Misal saja dalam keluarga, belum lagi kepercayaan publik tak selalu berpihak ke mereka dan menganggap calon laki-laki lebih unggul. Termasuk juga pola pikir parpol.

“Padahal tidak ada hambatan. Di Kementerian saya itu ada wanita jadi eselon I. Tapi bagaimana political will itu bisa diberikan,” katanya.

Tjahjo juga menjadikan contoh sejumlah menteri di kabinet kerja yang dijabat oleh perempuan. Di antaranya, Menteri Luar Negeri Retno Marsudi, Menteri Keuangan Sri Mulyani Indrawati, dan Menteri Sosial Khofifah Indarparawansa. Mereka berhasil meraih kepercayaan banyak orang.
