Studi ini berdasarkan temuan pada lebih dari 35.000 pasien serangan jantung yang berisiko lebih tinggi meninggal di rumah sakit karena sebelumnya menderita kanker.

Hal ini karena mereka cenderung tidak menerima obat dan intervensi yang direkomendasikan dokter.

“Sudah diketahui bahwa pasien kanker mungkin memiliki peningkatan risiko penyakit kardiovaskular sebagai hasil pengobatan mereka,” kata Dr.Dragana Radovanovic, kepala AMIS Plus Data Center di Zurich, Swiss.
