Singapura – Menteri Pertahanan Prabowo Subianto melakukan pertemuan bilateral dengan Menteri Pertahanan China Li Shangfu, di Shangri-La Hotel, Singapura, Minggu (04/06/2023).
Dalam pertemuan ini Menhan Prabowo menyatakan mendukung penuh optimalisasi hubungan Indonesia dan China untuk mencapai kemitraan strategis yang komprehensif.
“Saya menginginkan kerja sama RI-China ditingkatkan. Oleh karena itu pembentukan forum RI-China 2+2 sangatlah penting. Forum ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kerja sama komprehensif antara kedua negara secara signifikan, khususnya di bidang pertahanan dan keamanan di masa mendatang,” kata Menhan Prabowo.
“Saya berharap kerja sama dan persahabatan antara kedua negara terus dipertahankan dengan semangat persaudaraan dan prinsip saling menghormati,” lanjut Menhan Prabowo.
Menurut Menhan Prabowo, hal ini sejalan dengan upaya Indonesia untuk selalu berkomitmen untuk berpartisipasi aktif dalam berbagai upaya kerja sama guna mendorong terciptanya perdamaian dan stabilitas regional dan global.
Hubungan Indonesia dan China diperkuat dengan adanya forum pertemuan bilateral tahunan yaitu Defence Industry Cooperation Meeting (DICM). Adapun tercatat beberapa perusahaan China telah menjalin kerja sama dengan perusahaan Indonesia seperti PT LEN, PTDI, dan PT DAHANA. (Biro Humas Setjen Kemhan)
