JAKARTA — Gagasan kocak penundaan Pemilu 2024 menuai kritik pedas dan tingkat resisitensi tinggi dari masyarakat sipil, akademisi, tokoh masyarakat dan beberapa Papol. Bahkan Presiden Jokowi Widodo, sejak awal (2019) berkali-kali menolak keras agenda tesebut. Ia sengaja mengartikulasikan penolakannya secara lugas karena ingin meyakinkan publik, ia taat dan patuh konstitusi serta menjaga martabat dan marwah nilai-nilai demokrasi. Menunda pemilu 2024 akan menjadi pintu masuk otorianisme yang mengakibatkan bangsa dan negara porak peranda. Sayangnya, masih cukup banyak petinggi negara dan politisi mempercantik logika pembenaran proposisi sesat yang dapat mengakibatkan demokrasi semakin ringkih. Sehingga publik meragukan ketegasan penolakan Presiden.
Hikmahnya, di balik usul asal-asalan tersebut, menyingkapkan fenomena bawah sadar para pejabat, elit politik dan masyarakat masih mendambakan orang “kuat” mengemudikan kuasa daulat rakyat. Delusi semacam itu sesekali muncul dalam kompetisi politik dengan membangkitkan kedigdayaan palsu Orde Baru, yang notabene, tidak hanya memonopoli kekuasaan tetapi juga mendominasi kebenaran.
Pada hal sejarah membuktikan banyak negara yang mengidamkan dan mengagumi pemimpin Super Hero gagal mengelola pemerintahan yang demokratis. Penyebabnya, rakyat mudah tersihir sosok berperilaku dan berpenampilan gagah, cerdik berakrobat kata-kata, mengumbar retorika serta bertingkah laiknya seorang pahlawan. Makhluk jenis ini tidak akan pernah kompeten mengelola kerumitan politik, terlebih bila disertai kobaran ambisi kekuasaan. Pemimpin yang hanya mempunyai logika komando, jalan pintas disertai kekerasan bila kebijakannya di kritik rakyat.
Lazimnya, sindrom tersebut muncul bilamana masyarakat gelisah menghadapi masalah pelik dan mendesak sehingga perlu segera diselesaikan. Impian semakin indah bila publik merasa tidak berdaya dan ditelan ketatakutan tak berujung sehingga memerlukan pelindung. Pada titik ini publik berfantasi mempunyai pemimpin laiknya Rambo, jagoan imajiner maha super yang dapat menyelesaikan semua persoalan.
Mengingat medan politik adalah ranah benturan kepentingan yang spektrumnya mulai dari aspirasi mulia sampai niat durhaka, arsisitektur kekuasaan negara demokratis tidak membutuhkah Super Hero, melainkan figur yang tekun, sabar, telaten serta mampu mengontrol eksekusi kebijakan agar benar-benar dilaksanakan. Perangkat kompetensi yang diperlukan mengelola dan mengatasi permasalah yang ruwet, tingkat kompleksitas tingggi serta dilematis.
Nyala redup reformasi.
Awalnya adalah harapan membuncah karena keberhasilan masyarakat sipil menumbangkan rejim Orde Baru. Harganya sangat mahal. Tragedi bernuansa kebencian rasial yang mengancam kebangrutan peradaban bangsa. Jumlah korban meninggal dan luka diperkirakan ratusan hingga ribuan orang. Tragisnya, pengorbanan mereka tetap menjadi misteri abadi.
Seiring perjalanan waktu, reformasi yang tidak disertai ruh dan konsep mendalam tentang arsitektur kekuasaan yang demokratis, mengakibatkan proses tanformasi politik tergagap-gagap. Elan reformasi meredup diterpa badai politik uang dan dinasti politik. Konsekuensinya, terjadi kekosongan kelembagaan yang kompeten menampung dan mengelola berbagai kepentingan dan aspirasi masyarakat. Negara tidak dikendalikan oleh institusi tetapi dikontrol para bandar dan makelar politik, yang di duga mempunyai dana siluman tidak terbatas jumlahnya. Demokrasi tanpa tuntunan cita-cita di jamin ruang publik akan gaduh, pengap dengan ilusi, delusi serta pasangka buruk yang berlebihan terhadap orang lain.
Reformasi hanya menjadi logo maya memproduksi agen-agen olikark sehingga demokratisasi mengalami kejumudan dan semakin lama semakin rapuh; yang teringgal hanya romantika demokrasi. Kelompok masyarakat tercerai berai mencari kanal dan caranya sendiri menyalurkantimbunan harapan mereka, potensi demokrasi terjebak anarki.
Apesnya, romantika memicu rangsangan sensasi berdaya pikat memukau. Setiap orang membayangkan demokrasi sesuai dengan selera dan imajinasinya. Tidak mengherankan demokrasi dipeluk dan di cumbu banyak negara. Namun memeluk dewi demokrasi ongkos dan syaratnya sangat mahal, terutama kemampuan para elit politik menyuburkan kesetaraan, tingkat empati yang tinggi, kerja ekstra keras, tekun, cermat serta penuh dedikasi mewujudkan kebahagiaan bersama.
Polemik penundaan Pemilu memberikan pelajaran, mimpi sesat pemimpin “kuat” masih bersemayam di bawah sadar di berbagai kalangan. Upaya membangun arsitektur dan struktur kekuasaan yang beradab adalah agenda mendesak. Bila para elit politik dan masyarakat sipil bekerja sama dan menghasilkan kerangka utuh sistim politik Indonesia kedepan, takdirpun akan tersenyum.
