MPR nyatakan negara wajib lindungi budaya daerah

KESBANG.COM. CIREBON – Ketua MPR Zulkifli Hasan mengatakan negara melalui Pemerintah pusat maupun daerah wajib memerhatikan budaya-budaya daerah di Indonesia yang merupakan sumber dari budaya nasional.

“Kalau budaya daerah tidak dipertahankan dan dipelihara, maka akan masuk budaya asing yang belum tentu sesuai dengan budaya bangsa Indonesia,” katanya ketika mengunjungi Keraton Kanoman, di Cirebon, Jawa Barat, Senin.

Pada kunjungan tersebut, ia yang juga sebagai Ketua Umum Partai Amanat Nasional (PAN), didampingi oleh Sekjen PAN Edy Suparno dan sejumlah politikus partai itu.

Ia dan rombongan diterima oleh Sultan Kanoman XII Pangeran Raja Mochammad Emirudin, Patih Kesultanan Kanoman Pangeran Raja Mochammad Qodiran, adik sultan Ratu Raja Arimbi, serta kerabat sultan Fifi Sofiah Effendy.

Menurut dia, jika budaya asing yang tidak sesuai dengan budaya Indonesia masuk, maka Indonesia bisa kehilangan jati diri ke-Indonesiaannya.

Ia mengingatkan, wajib melindungi budaya dan keraton sebagai pusat kebudayaan daerah, beserta adat istiadatnya.

Indonesia sebelum merdeka, kata dia, terdiri dari banyak kerajaan-kerjaan dan pada saat Indonesia merdeka, kerajaan-kerajaan itu sepakat bersatu bersama Indonesia.

“Komitmennya, para raja rela tidak jadi raja dan sultan, asalkan Indonesia merdeka dan bersatu,” katanya.

Ia menjelaskan, setiap daerah di Indonesia memiliki budaya dan tradisi masing-masing yang merupakan sumber budaya nasional, sehingga wajib dipelihara.

Kalau budaya daerah tidak dipertahankan dan dipelihara serta budaya asing masuk, maka Indonesia akan kehilangan jati diri ke-Indonesiaan.

Dia menegaskan, kalau bangsa Indonesia tercerabut dari akar budayanya, maka akan kehilangan jati diri.

“Indonesia bisa maju, tapi bangsanya tertinggal di negaranya sendiri,” kata Zulkifli.
