MUI Nyatakan Belum Ada Sertifikat Halal Vaksin Difteri

JAKARTA – Wakil Ketua Umum Majelis Ulama Indonesia Zainut Tauhid Saadi mengatakan MUI belum menerima pendaftaran dan permintaan pemeriksaan kehalalan vaksin difteri dari pihak manapun.

“Sehingga MUI belum pernah menerbitkan sertifikasi halal terhadap vaksin tersebut,” kata Zainut kepada wartawan di Jakarta, Selasa.

Menurut telaah MUI, dia mengatakan MUI menyatakan bahwa pada dasarnya hukum imunisasi adalah boleh (mubah) sebagai bentuk upaya mewujudkan kekebalan tubuh dan mencegah terjadinya suatu penyakit tertentu. Namun begitu, vaksin yang digunakan dalam imunisasi harus halal dan suci.

Kendati begitu, jika belum ada vaksin halal dan dalam kondisi darurat mengancam jiwa maka diperbolehkan untuk digunakan.

“Setelah ditemukan vaksin yang halal maka pemerintah wajib menggunakan vaksin yang halal,” katanya.

Kondisi darurat, kata dia, seperti suatu kondisi keterpaksaan yang apabila tidak dilakukan tindakan imunisasi dapat mengancam jiwa manusia (mudarat) atau kondisi hajat yaitu kondisi keterdesakan yang apabila tidak dilakukan tindakan imunisasi maka akan dapat menyebabkan penyakit berat atau kecacatan pada seseorang.

“Ketentuan tersebut di atas harus dipastikan bahwa memang benar-benar belum ditemukan bahan vaksin yang halal dan suci dengan didukung keterangan tenaga ahli yang kompeten dan dapat dipercaya,” kata dia. (Ant)
