*JAKARTA* – Ketua MPR RI sekaligus Wakil Ketua Umum Partai Golkar mendukung langkah tegas Panglima TNI Laksamana Yudo Margono meningkatkan status operasi TNI di Kabupaten Nduga, Papua Pegunungan naik menjadi Siaga Tempur. Peningkatan status tersebut menyusul terjadinya serangan dari Kelompok Kriminal Bersenjata (KKB) di Distrik Mugi, Kabupaten Nduga yang mengakibatkan satu prajurit TNI bernama Pratu Miftahul Arifin gugur, Sabtu sore lalu.

“Meminta Panglima TNI dan seluruh jajarannya agar bersikap tegas dan tidak ragu-ragu dalam mengambil tindakan kepada KKB atau kelompok teroris bersenjata yang telah banyak membuat rakyat Papua menderita dengan melakukan berbagai tindak anarkis yang mengancam dan mengakibatkan korban jiwa di kalangan masyarakat dan aparat yang bertugas di Papua,” tegas Bamsoet di Jakarta, Selasa (18/4/23).

Ketua DPR RI ke-20 dan mantan Ketua Komisi III DPR RI bidang Hukum, HAM, dan Keamanan ini menjelaskan, serangan KKB yang mengakibatkan meninggalnya Pratu Miftahul Arifin terjadi saat 36 personel TNI diterjunkan untuk mencari keberadaan pilot Susi Air Kapten Philip Mark Mertens. Pratu Miftahul Arifin, tewas tertembak KKB dan jatuh ke jurang sedalam kurang lebih 15 meter.

Selain itu, serangan KKB juga mengakibatkan empat prajurit lainnya mengalami luka-luka. Sementara, empat personel lainnya ada yang dilaporkan hilang. Keberadaannya belum diketahui hingga saat ini.

“Pemerintah dan TNI-Polri harus memastikan keamanan dan keselamatan para prajurit yang bertugas dalam dalam operasi pencarian pilot Susi Air Capt Philip Mark Merthens di Nduga, Papua Pegunungan. Serta memberikan perlindungan kuat yang maksimal dari potensi kelanjutan gangguan dan ancaman dari aksi anarkis KKB,” kata Bamsoet.

Wakil Ketua Umum FKPPI dan Wakil Ketua Umum Pemuda Pancasila ini juga meminta agar pemerintah bersama aparat gabungan TNI-Polri menambah jumlah personel untuk memperkuat dan meningkatkan pengamanan di wilayah Papua. Penambahan personel dilakukan untuk menjamin keamanan masyarakat Papua, baik di wilayah yang baru saja terjadi aksi teror maupun di seluruh wilayah Papua yang berpotensi terjadi aksi teror KKB.

“Pemerintah bersama aparat gabungan TNI-Polri harus mampu mengidentifikasi dan memetakan pola penyerangan KKB. Sehingga dapat ditentukan strategi yang tepat agar TNI dan Polri bisa memberikan perlindungan kepada warga sipil setempat dalam menangani dan memerangi aksi kekerasan yang dilakukan KKB,’ pungkas Bamsoet.
