JAKARTA – Kepala Bagian Penerangan Umum (Kabagpenum) Polri Kombes Pol Martinus Sitompul mengatakan Polri mengerahkan pasukan minimal dalam jumlah yang sama dengan pengunjuk rasa yang akan menyampaikan pendapat di Kedubes Amerika Serikat (AS).
“Minimal satu polisi dengan satu orang. Misal pengunjuk rasa orang, maka personelnya satu orang,” kata Kombes Martinus di Mabes Polri, Jakarta, Jumat.
Namun demikian, menurut dia, jumlah pasukan dapat ditambah jika situasi menjadi memanas.
“Kami punya skala prioritas. Kalo anarkis, tidak akan mungkin kami gunakan pengamanan 1:1, pasti akan ditambah personelnya,” katanya.
Ia menginformasikan bahwa diperkirakan massa yang berunjuk rasa di Kedubes AS pada Jumat sekitar 200 orang sesuai dengan izin yang diajukan penanggung jawab aksi.
Martinus menambahkan, untuk menjaga ketertiban demonstrasi, Polda Metro Jaya sudah melakukan komunikasi dengan penanggung jawab aksi.
Untuk menjaga kelancaran arus lalu lintas, pihaknya menerapkan sistem buka tutup jalan disesuaikan dengan situasi yang berkembang.
“Lihat situasi untuk menutup atau buka jalan. Tidak bisa ditutup seterusnya karena itu akses yang vital di sekitar wilayah Jakarta Pusat,” katanya.
Massa pendemo menggelar aksi unjuk rasa di depan Kedutaan Besar Amerika Serikat, Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan, Jakarta Pusat, usai Salat Jumat berjamaah.
