Perbaikan Fasilitas Pelatnas Bulutangkis Dimulai Segera

KESBANG.COM, JAKARTA – Pengurus Pusat Persatuan Bulutangkis Seluruh Indonesia (PBSI) menyatakan perbaikan fasilitas Pemusatan Latihan Nasional Bulutangkis, di Cipayung, Jakarta Timur, akan dimulai segera.

“Perbaikan fasilitas tunggu saja bulan ini, akan ditentukan apa saja yang dibutuhkan oleh para atlet di Pelatnas,” kata Ketua Umum PBSI, Wiranto, di sela penandatanganan nota kesepahaman dengan Daihatsu untuk penyelenggaraan turnamen Super Series Indonesia Masters 2018, di Jakarta, Selasa.

Wiranto juga menyatakan renovasi itu akan menyasar pertama kali pada hal-hal yang paling dibutuhkan para punggawa tim Indonesia dalam membantu pencapaian prestasi mereka, terutama saat ini Indonesia tengah menghitung waktu menggelar Asian Games 2018.

Adapun hal yang dibutuhkan oleh para punggawa bulu tangkis Indonesia, menurut pelatih kepala nomor ganda putra Pelatnas PBSI, Herry Iman Pierngadi, adalah perbaikan di ruang ganti dan fasilitas kebugaran.

“Asrama juga perlu tapi renovasi ruang ganti dan fitnes saya lihat yang diperlukan saat ini,” ujar dia.

Sementara itu, Sekretaris Jenderal PP PBSI, Achmad Budiharto, mengatakan, dalam proses renovasi fasilitas di Pelatnas Cipayung itu PP PBSI tidak akan berjalan sendiri.

“Renovasi tersebut akan melibatkan pemerintah dalam hal ini adalah Kementerian PUPR,” kata Budiharto.

Sebelumnya, di awal-awal kepengurusan PBSI era Wiranto pada Januari 2017, mereka berkomitmen merenovasi fasilitas Pelatnas Cipayung yang dibangun medio 1980-an, dinilai mereka saat ini kurang memadai.

Federasi menyasar untuk memperbaiki arena, sarana latihan dan asrama atlet dan sempat melakukan survei untuk hal itu. Akan tetapi, mereka menyatakan akan memulai proses renovasi setelah mendapatkan kepastian pendanaan dari pemerintah.

Dan hingga kini proses renovasi fasilitas Pelatnas yang sempat melahirkan generasi-generasi pebulu tangkis hebat Indonesia di masanya tersebut, masih belum terlihat. (Ant)
