KESBANG.COM, SELAYAR – Anggota DPR-RI Aliyah Mustika Ilham melakukan sosialisasi kepada masyarakat Kabupaten Kepulauan Selayar tentang bahaya penggunaan kosmetik dan obat tanpa labelisasi dari Badan Pengolahan Obat dan Makanan (BPOM) maupun Kementerian Kesehatan (Kemenkes).

“Sekarang ini sudah banyak sekali kosmetik, obat-obatan kimia dan herbal, minuman dan makanan yang dijual di pasaran tanpa ada labelisasi dari BPOM dan Depkes,” ujarnya di Selayar, Sulawesi Selatan, Sabtu.

Aliyah Mustika Ilham yang duduk di Komisi IX DPR membidangi Kesehatan dan Ketenagakerjaan itu mengatakan, banyaknya produk makanan, obat dan kosmetik yang dijual bebas harus diwaspadai dan dicermati oleh warga yang menjadi konsumennya.

Karenanya, dirinya mengajak seluruh masyarakat agar cerdas dalam memilih obat, makanan dan kosmetik, minimal dengan melihat langsung izin dari BPOM maupun Kemenkes yang tertera dibalik kemasan.

“Minimal yang harus kita perhatikan kalau membeli kosmetik atau makanan instan itu lihat kemasannya, di situ ada tertera izin-izinnya dan kalau tidak ada atau meragukan, jangan dibeli,” katanya.

Legislator dari Partai Demokrat ini menyatakan, masyarakat kota sampai desa perlu mendapatkan pemahaman agar dapat menjadi konsumen cerdas dalam memilih makanan, obat dan kosmetik.

Ketua PKK Kota Makassar periode 2004-2014 ini menjelaskan kepada warga, setiap kali membeli obat wajib memperhatikan kondisi kemasan, tanggal kadaluarsa dan menganjurkan untuk membeli di apotek resmi atau toko obat berizin.

“Kalau kemasannya rusak, sebaiknya jangan diambil. Begitupun kalau beli kosmetik, hati-hati belanja secara online karena banyak yang menggunakan bahan berbahaya seperti merkuri,” jelasnya.

Kepala BBPOM Sulsel, Muhammad Guntur, mengungkapkan hasil pengawasan yang dilakukan pihaknya menemukan hampir 90 persen penjualan obat, jamu dan kosmetik secara online tidak terdaftar di Badan POM.

“Artinya ilegal, tapi kita terus awasi, kalau kami temukan itu palsu, kita akan polisikan. Makanya badan POM tidak merekomendasi anda membeli secara online,” ungkapnya. (Endi)
