*Presiden Jelaskan Latar Belakang Penunjukkan Pj Gubernur DKI Jakarta*

Presiden Joko Widodo menyebutkan beberapa alasan penunjukkan Heru Budi Hartono sebagai Penjabat (Pj) Gubernur Daerah Khusus Ibukota (DKI) Jakarta. Saat menyampaikan keterangannya di Istana Negara, Jakarta, pada Senin, 10 Oktober 2022, Presiden menyampaikan bahwa penunjukkan tersebut berdasarkan penilaian cara kerja, kapasitas, dan kemampuan dalam pemerintahan.

“Saya kenal Pak Heru kan lama sekali waktu jadi wali kota di DKI, kemudian waktu memegang Badan Keuangan. Saya tahu betul cara bekerja, kapasitas, kemampuan, saya tahu semuanya,” ujar Presiden.

Selain itu, Presiden juga menilai Heru Budi Hartono memiliki kemampuan komunikasi yang baik, sehingga diharapkan mampu mempercepat penyelesaian persoalan di DKI Jakarta.

“Komunikasinya sangat baik dengan siapa pun, sehingga kita harapkan nanti ada percepatan-percepatan,” lanjutnya.

Lebih lanjut, Presiden menyatakan bahwa dirinya telah menyampaikan sejumlah pesan kepada Heru Budi Hartono terkait pengembangan DKI Jakarta ke depan. Kepala Negara berharap dengan kapasitas yang dimiliki Heru, masyarakat dapat melihat perkembangan signifikan utamanya dalam penanganan banjir dan kemacetan yang dilakukan pemerintah DKI Jakarta.

“Kemarin sudah saya sampaikan kepada Pak Heru, utamanya persoalan utama di DKI Jakarta macet, banjir harus ada progres perkembangan yang signifikan. Dan yang ketiga hal yang berkaitan dengan tata ruang. Itu saja,” tambahnya.( Biro Pers,Media, dan Informasi Sekretariat Presiden)
