KESBANG.COM, JAKARTA – Panglima TNI Jenderal TNI Gatot Nurmantyo mengungkapkan bahwa Presiden Jokowi meminta dirinya tidak berangkat ke Amerika Serikat saat melapor penolakan Pemerintah AS atas rencana kunjungan ke negara itu.

“Begitu saya tidak bisa berangkat, saya lapor juga ke Presiden, Presiden mengatakan ya sudah tidak usah berangkat,” kata Gatot ditemui di Istana Negara Jakarta, Selasa.

Ia menyebutkan dirinya berangkat AS karena menjalankan perintah Presiden sehingga ia merupakan perwakilan pemerintah.

“Begitu saya tidak bisa berangkat saya lapor ke Presiden, lapor ke Menkopolhukam dan Menlu, maka saya tidak boleh berkomentar apa pun juga, tanyalah ke Menlu,” katanya.

Ia menyebutkan kalau ditanya kapan ia akan berangkat lagi ke AS, karena ia sudah melapor, dirinya berangkat hanya atas perintah Presiden.

“Tanpa itu saya tidak punya inisiatif apapun juga sekarang. Jadi saya tidak boleh memberikan keterangan,” katanya.

Ia menyebutkan setelah melapor ke Presiden, ia melapor kepada Menkopolhukam dan ke Menlu.

“Kan lapornya ke Presiden dulu baru ke Menkopolhukam dan Menlu. Dan sudah ditangani oleh Menlu,” katanya.

Sementara itu mengenai pembukaan dokumen AS terkait kasus tahun 1965, Gatot tidak memberikan komentar.

“Tanya Menlu jangan tanya saya,” katanya.

Ia mengatakan Indonesia harus menghargai aturan negara lain termasuk dalam pengungkapan dokumen rahasia.

“Kita harus berpikir kita hargai negara lain ada aturan bahwa dokumen rahasia setelah sekian tahun bisa dikeluarkan,” katanya.

Dalam kesempatan itu Gatot mengungkapkan rasa kecewanya tidak bisa berkunjung ke AS.

“Kalau dikatakan saya kecewa, saya kecewa. Kenapa saya kecewa? Karena saya bersahabat dengan Jenderal Dunford, ” katanya.

Ia menyebutkan sebelumnya ia pernah ke AS dan tidak ada masalah.

“Pada saat saya ke sana saya coffee morning di rumah Jenderal Dunford yang asri, malamnya diajak dinner yang enak. Yang lebih luar biasa lagi ada lagu Bengawan Solo yang dinyanyikan prajurit Amerika. Ya saya kesana kan mau ketemu juga sama beliau,” katanya.
