KESBANG.COM, JAKARTA – Pakar Pemerintahan Prof. Ryaas Rasyid  dalam seminar yang bertajuk “Pendidikan Politik Bertema Partisipasi Perempuan Dalam Mendukung Agenda Demokrasi Pemilu Serentak Tahun 2019 di Jakarta, Senin (16/10/2017)  memberi apresiasi Kementrian  Dalam Negeri di bawah Mendagri Tjahtyo Kumulo telah memiliki Sub Direktorat Etika dan Budaya Politik.

Pernyatan Ryaas Rasyid itu disampaikan ketika  Direktur Politik Dalam Negeri, DR. Bahtiar mengatakan di Direktoratnya kini sudah ada unit kami Sub Direktorat Etika dan Budaya Politik yang dipimpin oleh Kasubdit Fasilitasi Etika dan Budaya Politik Direktorat Politik dalam Negeri, Cahyo Ariawan.

“Kemajuan  bangsa  Indonesia, khususnya di bidang politik amat ditentukan oleh seberapa  jauh soal etika politik ini bisa menjadi sebuat aturan setingkat undang-undang,” ujarnya.

Ryaas Rasyid  mengungkapkan, ketika dia menjabat sebagai Menteri Pendayagunaan Aparatur Negar & RAB di era Presiden Gus Dur, dia sempat menginisasi perlunya pemerintah menyusun undang-undang soal  etika.

“Sayangnya, partai politik waktu itu tidak ada yang mendukung sehingga ketika ganti menteri hal itu tidak terwujud,” paparnya.

Di Amerika saja, katanya, ada aturan khusus yang mengatur soal etika. Karena itu, ketika salah seorang walikota di negara bagian Georgia salah omong, dia langsung di desak mundur oleh para aktivis perempuan.

Dengan adanya Bill Government Ethics di Amerika, lanjut Rasyid, bisa menjadi mekanisme kontrol seorang pejabat dalam berperilaku. Di Indonesia belum ada pejabat yang mundur karena  salah omong. Padahal, soal etika ini bisa menjadi standar moralitas kita berperilaku.
