Tim GMRI (Gerakan Moral Rekonsiliasi Indonesia) dan Posko Negarawan sangat senang dan bahagia saat menyambangi Prof. Dr. H. Salim Said MA., M.S.I.A di Kantornya Institut Peradaban, kawasan Tebet, Jakarta, 8 Maret 2023 dalam rangka meminta dukungan moral pada acara penyampaian pesan negarawan kepada Presiden Joko Widodo serta jajarannya dalam mengelola bangsa dan negara Indonesia yang sangat mengkhawatirkan bisa ambruk.

Dukungan moral dari Profesor H. Salim Said sungguh sangat berarti bersama 45 tokoh nasional lainnya dalam penyampaian pesan yang bernilai spiritual pada 11 Maret 2023 itu yang bertepatan dengan peringatan lahirnya Supersemar (Surat Perintah 11 Maret 1966 dahulu itu) sebagai upaya dari Presiden Soekarno kepada Presiden Soeharto untuk menyelanatkan bangsa dan negara Indonesia dari perpecahan maupun kehancuran akibat Pembrontakan PKI (Partai Komunis Indonesia) hingga tercatat dalam sejarah kelam perjalan bangsa dan negara Indonesia sampai hari ini menjadi trauma yang menakutkan.

Sebagai akademisi, dosen, penulis, wartawan dan mantsn diplomat, guru besar yang mengaku sudah pensiun dari Universitas Pertahanan dan PTIK (Perguruan Tinggi Ilmu Kepolisian) justru masih diminta untuk mendedikasikan ilmu dan prngetahuannya di Univetsitas Islam Negeri Sunan Kalijaga dan Universitas Islam Indonesia Yogyakarta.

Bahkan, dedijasinya itu pun untuk bangsa ia ekspresikan dengan menghibahkan 4. 189 buku koleksi pribadinya dari 10.000 yang sudah dihajatkan untuk Universitas Islam Indonesia, Yogyakarta pada tahun lalu itu. Ruang baca perpustskaan itu pun diberi nama Salim Said Conner.

Profesor kelahiran Amparita, Afdeling Parepare, Sulawesi ini, pada 10 Novermber 2023 akan genap berusia 80 tahun. Ketika menimpali perkenalan diri Sri Eko Sriyanto Galgendu, Jetua Umum GMRI dan penggagas Posko Negarawan dengan gaya Solo yang khas, Prof. Salim Said yang terkenal berbicara lufas, jelas bahkan keras ini langsung menimpali jika dia pun cukup paham dengan budaya dan tradisi orang Solo, sebab semasa Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) dahulu belajar di SMA 2 Mertoyudan Solo.

Sebagai akdemisi yang kritis, lugas dan keras, justru sekarang Prof. Salim Said mengaku menjadi penakut. Ikhwal kisah rasa takutnya itu, sejak mengkritik anak dab menantu Jokowi yang mengulangi kejengahan rakyat terhadap rezim Orde Baru pada bagian akhir kekuasaan Soeharto melakukan KKN (Kolusi, Korupsi dan Nepotusme yabg sangat dibenci oleh rakyat, katanya.

Akibat sikap kritisnya itulah dia menjadi takut karena dibully berbulan-bulan dari berbagai arah, kata Profesor Salim Said berkisah.

Atas dasar bully itulah dia menyadari peradaban bangsa Indonesia masih seperti itu wajah aslinya. Sebab tidak sedikit diantara kawan-kawan kita itu juga yang justru merasa nikmat atau menikmati kondisi yang kacau dan buruk itu, tandasnya.

Sesungguhnya, menurut Profesor Salim Said, dirinya sudah tidak perduli dengan apa yang dibullykan terhadap dirinya itu. Tapi kawan-kawannya yang nenjadi sibuk dan merasa gerah, hingga memberi tahu tentang bully yang ramai serta gaduh membicarakan dirinya. Karena itu, dia sekarang merasa lebih takut atau sanepojya yang ugagari, dia mulai menyadari bahwa kritis yang kritis itu tidak ada gunanya. Sebab banyak orang justru merasa terganggu, karena sedang menikmati kondisi yang kita anggap buruk dan salah.

Tapi yang pasti, kata Profesor Salim Said, dia tidak berani juga berjanji akan datang pada acara penyampaian pesan bersama 45 negaran itu nanti pada 11 Maret 2023 di Museum Naskah Teks Proklamasi itu nanti, tandasnya meyakinkan. Dan mungkin, untuk lebih meyakinkan permohonan Ketua Umum GMRI, Profesor. H. Salim Said menghadiahi buku terbaru yang dia tulis itu secara spontan dan terkesan penuh keikhlasan.
