KESBANG.COM, KUALA LUMPUR – Indonesia mampu menambah dua medali perak dan satu perunggu pada hari pembukaan SEA Games 2017 di Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Sabtu (19/8), namun posisi kontingen Merah-Putih masih tetap berada di urutan keempat dalam daftar perolehan medali.

Tuan rumah Malaysia masih bercokol di posisi teratas dengan 7 emas, 4 perak dan 5 perunggu, diikuti Singapura 3 emas, 3 perak dan 3 perunggu.

Posisi di atas Indonesia adalah Thailand yang mengemas 3 emas, 3 perak dan 1 perunggu, dan Indonesia mengumpulkan 2 emas, 2 perak dan 4 perunggu.

Pelari jarak jauh Indonesia Agus Prayogo mengawali perolehan medali perak setelah hanya finis di urutan kedua nomor lari marathon .

Medali perak berikutnya bagi indonesia disumbangkan oleh tim beregu putra sepak takraw, setelah harus puas melihat Thailand kembali mendominasi emas, disusul tuan rumah Malaysia dengan perunggu.

Medali perak dari cabang sepak takraw diraih setelah Indonesia mengalahkan Brunei Darussalam dengan skor telak 3-0 di stadion indoor Titiwangsa, Kuala Lumpur.

Melawan Brunei, Indonesia mengawali keunggulan set melalui trio Halim, Herson, Rezki Djaena yang menang 21-15, 21-7.

Selanjutnya trio Victoria Eka Prasetyo, Samsul Hadi, Saiful Rijal menang melawan regu kedua Brunei 21-19, 21-10.

Regu ketiga Indonesia yang diperkuat Rizki Pago, Hendra Pago, Novriisal memastikan Indonesia memimpin 3-0 atas Brunei.

Satu medali perunggu pada hari pembukaan SEA Games 2017 diperoleh dari cabang polo air putri Indonesia setelah berhasil mengalahkan Malaysia 7 – 1.

Medali emas diraih oleh Thailand sedangkan medali perak diraih oleh Singapura.

SEA Games 2017 dibuka Sabtu malam di Stadion Nasional Bukit Jalil.
