Jakarta (11/06/2023). Berangkat dari Arab Saudi ke tanah air, Arifin Yunus secara khusus bertandang ke kantor pusat SPMI-PP, Condet, Jakarta Timur. Diterima petinggi SPMI-PP, Nursalim Plh. Ketua, Fathan Sekretaris Umum, Usolli Siringo Waketum I, E. Pranoto Waketum II beserta jajaran lainnya.

Sekretaris Umum SPMI-PP Fathan secara khusus menyatakan bahwa keberadaan Pengurus Wilayah Luar Negeri (PW LN) SPMI-PP Perwakilan Arab Saudi kinerjanya melebihi ekspektasi yang diperkirakan semula. “PW LN SPMI-PP Arab Saudi di bawah kepemimpinan saudara Arifin Yunus telah banyak manfaat positif dalam membantu mengatasi persoalan yang dihadapi para pekerja migran. Baik itu menyangkut problem pekerjaan, sakit ataupun meninggal, tidak peduli anggota SPMI-PP atau bukan, yang penting WNI, tetap dibantu seoptimal mungkin, “ujar Fathan. Meskipun, lanjut Fathan, masih ada beberapa kendala koordinasi yang belum sepenuhnya lancar dengan Kedutaan ataupun konjen di beberapa daerah Arab Saudi. Oleh karena itu dalam waktu dekat akan diagendakan beraudiensi ke Kementerian Luar Negeri agar kedepannya bisa lebih baik lagi.

Sementara itu Arifin Yunus, Ketua PW LN SPMI-PP Arab Saudi menyatakan bahwa sesungguhnya yang dilakukannya bersama-sama jajaran kepengurusannya mengalir saja apa adanya, semata-mata membantu saudara sebangsa dan se tanah air. “Mereka adalah saudara dalam perantauan, sedapat mungkin masalah yang dihadapi akan kita bantu,” ujarnya.

Dalam kesempatan ini, Pengurus Pusat menyerahkan plakat, sebagai bentuk penghargaan kepada PW LN SPMI-PP Arab Saudi, yang diserahkan Fathan kepada Arifin Yunus disaksikan jajaran pengurus lainnya. (ibra/her)
