KESBANG.COM, JAKARTA – Penyelenggaraan Pemilu Serentak 2019 yang berjalan berdasarkan asas langsung, umum, bebas, rahasia, jujur dan adil merupakan dambaan kita semua.

Guna mencapai kualitas Pemilu itu, Ditjen Politik dan Pemerintahan Umum (Polpum) Kementrian Dalam Negeri melalui Kasubdit Fasilitasi Lembaga Pemerintah,  Dedi Taryadi , SH, M.Si. memberikan “Sosialisasi Undang-Undang Nomor 7 Tahun 2017 tentang Pemilihan Umum”  kepada anggota  DPRD dan DPD Kab. Labuanbatu Utara (Labura), Sumut pada Senin (23/10/2017)

Menurut  Dedi,  tujuan kegiatan Sosialisasi UU 7/2017 ini adalah untuk dapat memberikan pemahaman yang sama terkait pengaturan penyelenggaraan Pemilu Serentak tahun 2019.  Kegiatan yang dihadiri puluhan anggota DPRD Labura ini diharapkan akan ada pemahaman yang utuh terkait penyelenggaraan Pemilu Serentak 2019 khususnya untuk anggota DPR, DPD, dan DPRD.

Dedi menjelaskan, dari kegiatan sosialisasi ini bisa menciptakan penguatan fungsi koordinasi dan sinergitas antara Kementrian/Lembaga dalam rangka mensukseskan Pemilu Serentak tahun 2019. Termasuk upaya memperbaiki kualitas pelaksanaan Pemilu merupakan bagian dari proses penguatan demokrasi serta upaya mewujudkan tata pemerintahan yang efektif dan efisien. Sehingga dengan demikian, proses demokratisasi dapat tetap berlangsung melalui Pemilu yang lebih berkualitas dan pada saat yang bersamaan proses demokratisasi berjalan dengan baik, terkelola, dan terlembaga.

Pemilu, lanjutnya, sesuai Pasal 2 Undang-Undang Nomor 7 Tahun 2017 tentang Pemilihan Umum harus dilaksanakan berdasarkan asas langsung, umum, bebas, rahasia, jujur dan adil.  Hal ini akan dapat tercapai, apabila seluruh komponen bangsa saling bahu-membahu mendukung pelaksanaan Pemilu dengan didasarkan pada peraturan perundang-undangan yang berlaku dan penghormatan hak-hak politik setiap warga negara.

“Salah satu bagian terpenting dari sebuah proses Pemilu adalah peran dan partisipasi masyarakat.  Pertimbangan rasional, dengan menjadi pemilih cerdas perlu terus-menerus disosialisasikan sehingga nantinya diharapkan dapat terpilih pemimpin dan wakil-wakil rakyat yang mempunyai integritas dan kualitas yang tinggi,” harapnya.
