Timika | Satgas Binmas Noken Ops Damai Cartenz menggelar acara bakar batu bersama tokoh masyarakat dan tokoh adat di komplek Pasar Kampung Bintang Lima Distrik Kwamki Narama, Kabupaten Mimika, Papua. Kaops Damai Cartenz yang diwakili Waka Ops 1 Damai cartenz Kombes Pol. Bambang Widjanarko Baiin, S.I.K., M.Si., mengatakan upacara bakar batu ini sebagai penanda bahwa situasi di seluruh wilayah Mimika, Aman dan Damai.

Bakar Batu adalah sebagai alat bersilaturahmi dengan keluarga dan kerabat, menyambut kabar bahagia dan sebagai tanda perdamaian antar kelompok yang sebelumnya ada konflik atau peperangan,” ungkap Waka Ops 1 Damai Cartenz di lokasi, Sabtu (01/10/22).

Kombes Pol. Bambang Widjanarko juga menyampaikan bahwa upacara bakar batu ini merupakan simbol kesederhanaan masyarakat Papua. Menggambarkan adanya persamaan hak, keadilan, kebersamaan, kekompakan, kejujuran, dan ketulusan, serta keikhlasan yang membawa pada perdamaian.

Disamping itu, Kasatgas Binmas Ops Damai Cartenz Kombes Pol. Nanang Purnomo, S.H., M.H., menjelaskan bahwa Upacara Bakar Batu yang dilaksanakan Satgas Binmas Ops Damai Cartenz bersama masyarakat Mimika yang dihadiri oleh keluarga korban mutilasi bertujuan untuk membangun kembali kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap Polri dan TNI.
“Semoga dengan terlaksananya kegiatan bakar batu bersama ini, keluarga Korban Mutilasi dengan sepenuhnya dapat mempercayai proses hukum yang sedang berjalan. Polri dan TNI komitmen transparan dalam menproses hukum para pelaku,” jelas,” Kapolres Timika AKBP Gede

Tokoh agama bpk Giman Magai menghimbau masyarakat dalam pengungkapan kasus mutilasi agar percaya sepenuhnya terhadap Proses Hukum yang sedang berjalan.
“Kita serahkan sepenuhnya pada proses hukum. Kita berharap para pelaku akan mendapatkan hukuman yang seadil adilnya.”jelasnya.

Dilokasi, hadir juga Kapolres Mimika, Dandim Mimika dan Kepala kepala distrik wil. Mimika menyaksikan langsung prosesi Bakar Batu. Satgas Binmas bersama masyarakat kaum laki-laki menyalakan api dan memanaskan batu. Kemudian menyiapkan daging 4 ekor Babi untuk dimasak. Sedangkan para Polwan-polwan bersama mama-mama terlihat sibuk membersihkan sayur-sayuran, keladi dan umbi-umbian.

Batu yang dibakar dipastikan dahulu benar-benar membara. Kemudian bagian atasnya di tumpuk makanan dan daging. Setelah semuanya matang, masyarakat memulai ritualnya. Makanan dan Babi -babi dibawa ke lokasi ritual. Masyarakat kemudian mengolah dan menghidangkan untuk para tamu.

Kepala Kampung Bintang Lima bpk Tonte Yanengga mengatakan bahwa Bakar batu merupakan ritual memasak bersama yang bertujuan untuk mewujudkan rasa syukur kepada Tuhan sang Pencipta dan Pemberi Kehidupan.
“Dalam tradisi bakar batu terdapat makna mendalam, yakni sebagai ungkapan syukur pada Tuhan dan simbol solidaritas yang kuat.”pungkasnya.
