*JAKARTA* – Ketua MPR RI sekaligus Ketua Umum Ikatan Motor Indonesia (IMI) dan Wakil Ketua Umum Partai Golkar Bambang Soesatyo bersama Pembina IMI Pusat sekaligus pemilik Sentul International Circuit Tinton Soeprapto mengajak Duta Besar Jepang untuk Indonesia H.E. Mr. Kasunagi Kenji menjajaki pengembangan Sister Circuit antara Suzuka International Racing Course, Jepang dengan Sentul International Circuit, Indonesia. Sebagai bagian sport automotive diplomatic dalam meningkatkan kerjasama Indonesia – Jepang.

Pemilihan Suzuka International Racing Course sebagai Sister Circuit bagi Sentul International Circuit bukan tanpa alasan. Mengingat Suzuka dikelola oleh Mobilityland Corporation, anak perusahaan dari Honda Motor Co, Ltd. Disisi lain, Honda termasuk lima besar pabrikan otomotif yang menguasai sekitar 12,4 persen pasar otomotif Indonesia.

“Sebagai salah satu tindak lanjutnya, dalam waktu dekat IMI dan pengelola Sirkuit International Sentul akan mengundang Duta Besar Jepang H.E. Mr. Kasunagi Kenji beserta jajarannya untuk datang ke Sentul International Circuit. Merasakan sensasi balap di sirkuit bersejarah yang bukan hanya termasuk sirkuit internasional pertama Indonesia, melainkan juga termasuk sirkuit internasional tertua di kawasan Asia Tenggara,” ujar Bamsoet usai menerima Duta Besar Jepang untuk Indonesia H.E. Mr. Kasunagi Kenji, di Jakarta, Selasa (7/3/23).

Turut hadir jajaran Kedutaan Besar Jepang untuk Indonesia antara lain Konselor Bidang Politik Mr. Tanaka, Konselor Bidang Ekonomi Mr. Hanawa, serta Sekretaris 2 Bagian Informasi dan Kebudayaan Mr. Isomura. Hadir pula pengurus IMI Pusat antara lain, Pembina Tinton Soeprapto, Wakil Ketua Umum Hubungan Antar Lembaga Junaidi Elvis, serta Komunikasi dan Media Dwi Nugroho dan Hasby Zamri.

Ketua DPR RI ke-20 dan mantan Ketua Komisi III DPR RI bidang Hukum, HAM, dan Keamanan ini menjelaskan, sport automotive diplomatic merupakan terobosan baru. Sangat tepat diaplikasikan dalam meningkatkan hubungan Indonesia – Jepang. Mengingat menurut Gabungan Industri Kendaraan Bermotor Indonesia (GAIKINDO), pabrikan otomotif asal Jepang menguasai hampir 98 persen penjualan mobil di Indonesia. Dari 1 juta lebih penjualan mobil di Indonesia pada tahun 2022, pabrikan Jepang menempati 5 teratas. Antara lain Toyota dengan pangsa pasar 31,6 persen, Daihatsu 18,6 persen, Honda 12,4 persen, Mitsubishi Motors 9,7 persen dan Suzuki 8,8 persen.

“Melalui Sister Circuit, kita juga mengajak berbagai pabrikan otomotif asal Jepang yang menguasai pasar otomotif Indonesia tersebut untuk bekerjasama secara business to business dengan pengelola Sentul International Circuit untuk mengupgrade Sentul International Circuit agar bisa mendapatkan sertifikasi FIA Grade 2. Kerjasama business to business tersebut antara lain misalnya dengan menghadirkan Toyota Tribune, Honda Lounge, Daihatsu Corner, maupun berbagai bentuk aplikasi kerjasama lainnya,” jelas Bamsoet.

Wakil Ketua Umum Partai Golkar dan Kepala Badan Hubungan Penegakan Hukum, Pertahanan dan Keamanan KADIN Indonesia ini menerangkan, melalui Sister Circuit, pabrikan otomotif asal Jepang juga bisa memanfaatkan Sentul International Circuit untuk berbagai kegiatan otomotif yang dibutuhkan oleh pabrikan. Seperti test drive, gathering, dan berbagai kegiatan otomotif lainnya.
