Selama menjalani pemeriksaan, 212 PMI ilegal itu dibawa ke Mapolda Sumut lalu ditempatkan di penampungan

Kapolda Sumut Irjen Pol. Drs. R. Z. Panca Putra S, M.Si menuturkan para PMI ilegal itu menerima informasi dari media sosial untuk bekerja di Kamboja

“Dari hasil wawancara, 212 PMI ilegal itu dijanjikan upah Rp5-8 juta untuk bekerja di Kamboja melalui perusahaan PT MEB,” tutur Kapolda Sumut saat press release, Senin (22/08)

 

Panca mengatakan ke 212 PMI ilegal ini menyarter pesawat khusus berangkat dari Bandara Kualanamu dengan tujuan Kamboja

“Saat ini Polda Sumut telah menetapkan lima orang tersangka dan tiga diantaranya sudah diamankan,” ucapny

Panca menambahkan, kelima orang yang ditetapkan sebagai tersangka dalam kasus PMI ilegal itu dikenakan Pasal 81 subsider Pasal 83 subsider Pasal 86 junto Pasnal 55, 56 Undang-Undang RI Nomor 18 Tahun 2017.

“Kasus PMI ilegal ini masih terus didalami. Terhadap 212 warga yang diamanakan dikembalikan ke daerah asal masing-masing,” pungkasnya.

“Agar Dirjen Kementerian Luar Negeri RI dan Kepala BP2MI Pusat dapat memberikan himbauan kepada masyarakat untuk tidak bekerja diluar negeri yang tidak sesuai dengan aturan sehingga kejadian serupa tidak terjadi kembali”, tutup Panca. (AVID/r)
