SERANG – Guna meningkatkan partisipasi politik saat pelaksanaan Pilkada 2018 maupun Pemilu 2019 di Provinsi Banten, Kemendagri melalui Direktorat Politik Dalam Negeri Direktorat Jenderal Politik dan Pemerintahan Umum Kementerian Dalam Negeri menggelar Rapat Koordinasi, Evaluasi dan Pemantauan Seleksi Penyelenggara Pemilu di Daerah.

Rakor dihadiri nara sumber Kasubdit Implementasi Kebijakan Politik Direktorat Politik Dalam Negeri (Poldagri) Kementerian Dalam Negeri, Drs. Bangun Sitohang, MM dan Kabid Fasilitasi Pembinaan Politik Badan Kesbangpol Banten, Gustiawan, S.IP, M.Si.

Dalam sambutan pembukaannya, Bangun Sitohang mengatakan pesta demokrasi di Indonesia akan berlangsung berturut-turut dalam dua tahun mendatang. Pada 2018 akan ada pemilu kepala daerah (pilkada) serentak di tingkat provinsi maupun kabupaten/kota dan pada 2019 akan digelar pemilu legislatif dan presiden secara bersamaan.

Masyarakat harus mengetahui tentang tahapan-tahapan proses-proses politik. Karena itu, harus ikut aktif untuk memantau proses pemilihan, tahapannya, kandidatnya, ikuti prosesnya, dan tidak boleh pasiv atau diam saja.

Tahun 2008, kita akan ada pesta demokrasi Pemilukada 2018 dan Pemilu Serentak 2019. Saat ini pemerintah tengah melakukan seleksi terhadap jajaran penyelenggara pemilu. Untuk partai politik peserta pemilu, pemerintah masih memberikan kesempatan bagi partai yang mau ikut pemilu hingga 17 Februari 2018.

“Kita membutuhkan pengawasan pemilu dari mulai tingkat kabupaten, kota hingga kecamatan orang-orang yang jujur dan ikhlas bekerja untuk bangsa dan negara,” kata Bangun Sitohang ketika membuka sekaligus menyampaikan materi pada kegiatan Rapat Koordinasi, Evaluasi dan Pemantauan Seleksi Penyelenggara Pemilu di Daerah di Hotel Le Dian, Kamis (30/11/2017).

Dia menjelaskan, pemilihan Kepala Daerah 2018 dan Pemilu Serentak 2019 ini akan berjalan baik jika penyelenggara pemilu bermain dengan jujur. Dia mengingatkan sebagai mantan Ketua Sekretariat Panitia Seleksi anggota Komisi Pemilihan Umum (KPU) dan Badan Pengawas Pemilu (Bawaslu) soal kejujuran ini merupakan hal penting dan menjadi syarat utama sebagai anggota KPU dan Bawaslu RI.

“Jika pada saat mendafar saja sudah tidak jujur, misal punya istri dua tetapi mengaku satu, maka ketika menjadi penyelenggara pemilu dipastikan tidak akan jujur,” paparnya.

Bangun Sitohang menambahkan, parpol memang memegang peran utama dalam melahirkan pejabat politik melalui pemilu, tapi pemilu dan pilkada tidak berjalan baik tanpa didukung penyelenggara pemilu yang jujur dan netral.

Sementara itu, Gustiawan yang berbicara tentang Peran Pemda dalam Pelaksanaan Pemilu ni mengharapkan pemilukada 2018 yang akan berjalan di Kota Serang, Kota Tangerang, Kab. Tangerang, dan Kab. Lebak ini akan berjalan aman dan damai jika masyarakat turut serta berpartisipasi secara aktif.

“Peran aktif anda baik baik sebagai peserta pemilukada maupun pengawas pemilu akan menentukan masa depan Provinsi Banten,” pungkas Gustiawan.

Rakor yang disambut secara antusias ini dihadiri 100 peserta berasal dari tokoh masyarakat, mantan anggota pengawas pemilu tingkat pengawasan hingga kabupaten, tokoh agamawan, mahasiswa dan masyarakat. (Zul)
