Kapolda Gorontalo Irjen Pol. Helmy Santika, S.H.,SIK.,M.Si menggalakkan program bedah rumah bagi masyarakat yang kurang mampu dan tinggal dirumah yang tidak layak huni. Kegiatan ini menjadi bagian dalam menyambut Hari Ulang Tahun Polda Gorontalo ke-20 yang jatuh pada tanggal 13 maret 2023 dan mengangkat tema “Presisi,Unggul dan dicintai masyarakat.
Kapolda Gorontalo melalui Kabid Humas Kombes Pol Wahyu Tri Cahyono,SIK mengatakan bahwa tujuan dilaksanakan program bedah rumah adalah untuk membantu masyarakat yang kurang mampu agar bisa tinggal di rumah yang layak huni.
“Bahwa dalam rangka menyambut Hari Ulang Tahun Polda Gorontalo ke-20, Kapolda ingin mengisinya dengan kegiatan-kegiatan yang bisa memberikan manfaat bagi masyarakat banyak salah satunya membantu menyediakan rumah layak huni bagi yang membutuhkan, Bapak Kapolda telah memerintahkan jajaran Polres untuk mencari masyarakat yang kurang mampu dan tinggal di rumah yang tidak layak huni untuk dibantu melalui program bedah rumah,” Jelas Wahyu.
Wahyu katakan, dalam pelaksanaan program bedah rumah tidak dilaksanakan sendiri melainkan menggandeng rekan-rekan dari TNI.
“Sehingga ada sinergi Polri dan TNI dalam membantu masyarakat yang kurang mampu dan ini bagian nyata dari kontribusi Polri dan TNI dalam upaya membantu pemerintah mengentaskan kemiskinan,”Ungkapnya.
Wahyu juga menjelaskan bahwa selain bedah rumah, Polda Gorontalo bersama personel Korem 133/NWB telah membantu merenovasi 4(empat) unit rumah dinas Kodim 1304 yang menjadi korban kebakaran beberapa waktu lalu.
“Saat ini, renovasi masih berlangsung, mudah-mudahan sebelum hari H Ulang Tahun Polda ke-20 yakni tanggal 13 Maret 2023 sudah selesai sehingga bisa diserahkan kepada para keluarga yang menjadi korban kebakaran,”jelasnya.
Terakhir Wahyu berharap dengan kegiatan-kegiatan yang dilaksanakan oleh Polda Gorontalo beserta Polres jajaran diharapkan kehadiran Polri bisa dirasakan manfaatnya oleh masyarakat.
“Dibawah pimpinan Kapolda Irjen Pol. Helmy Santika, Polda Gorontalo terus berbenah meningkatkan pelayanan kepada masyarakat, membuka sumbatan komunikasi dan berbagai kegiatan kemanusiaan sehingga kehadiran Polri benar-benar bisa dirasakan manfaatnya oleh masyarakat sebagaimana tema HUT Polda Gorontalo tahun ini yakni Presisi, Unggul dan dicintai oleh masyarakat,” Imbuhnya.
Program Bedah Rumah yang digalakkan oleh Kapolda Gorontalo ini mendapatkan respon positif dari Ibu Sia Ngamo warga desa Bulalo kecamatan Kwandang yang rumahnya menjadi sasaran kegiatan tersebut.
“Kami sangat bersyukur dan terima kasih atas dibangunnya rumah kami sehingga menjadi lebih sehat dan layak dibandingkan sebelumnya yang hanya berdinding anyaman bambu, beralaskan tanah dan kumuh, terima kasih pak polisi atas kepeduliannya kepada kami masyarakat kecil,”Ungkapnya.
Ibu Sia Ngamo sendiri merupakan ibu rumah tangga dan suaminya Bapak Yusuf Yosef hanyalah buruh tani, mereka sebelumnya tinggal bertiga dengan satu anaknya di rumah sederhana yang bisa dikatakan jauh dari kata layak huni.
